January 1, Trump Voters Turn On Former President: “We’re Done with Him”

Published

on

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1908: Albert Einstein presents his quantum theory of light.

One-time supporters of former President Donald Trump say they’re “done” with the former commander-in-chief, citing most of his picks failing to secure U.S. Senate seats in this year’s midterm elections.

David Urban, a former senior adviser to Trump, told the New York Post that he keeps hearing that it’s time for the former president to step aside.

“If you’re a Republican in Pennsylvania and you look at Donald Trump’s bigfooting of the people in Pennsylvania and the implosion of his candidates in Pennsylvania, you’re pretty upset,” Urban said.

Urban, a Pennsylvania-born strategist currently based in Washington, D.C., said he’s been fielding nonstop phone calls from county chairs and committee members telling him that they’ve had enough with Trump.

“They said, ‘Look, we’re done. We’re done with him. He cost us this election and we’re done,’” Urban said.

The New York Post’s Salena Zito claimed that she’s also been inundated with similar phone calls.

“All day Wednesday my phone lit up with calls and emails from voters who expressed the exact same frustration,” Zito wrote. “One woman said she saw the writing on the wall last weekend when Trump decided to take a swipe at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — calling him ‘Ron DeSanctimonious’ — while he campaigned for (Mehmet) Oz and (Doug) Mastriano in Pennsylvania.”

The former Trump supporter, who didn’t want to be named, told Zito she had a “pit-of-my-stomach moment” as she watched Trump tease a big announcement ahead of Tuesday’s midterms.

“It is hard to quit Trump — I voted for him twice enthusiastically,” she said, adding that “at this juncture, I think we have to move forward to a new generation of leaders.”

A Pennsylvania father, who asked to not be identified, echoed the woman’s claims.

“Trump needs to disappear,” he said. “He got us Oz over McCormick in the primary who would have won by at least by five points. In fact, most of the failures in [Tuesday’s] midterms tie back to Trump.”

The man said that he still likes Trump’s policies, but the jab at DeSantis was a bridge too far.

“Then he made the DeSantis comment and we are all done in our family with him. It is becoming very clear it’s about Trump first, not the conservative movement.”

Conservative strategist Dave Myhal, who said he’s donated $10,000 to Trump, voted for him twice, and campaigned to get him elected in Ohio in 2016 and 2020, now says he’s looking forward to other rising members of the GOP.

“The era of Trump is over,” Myhal told the New York Post.

“It is time for Trump to retire. I see golf courses and a rocking chair in his future. We appreciate the time he fought in the war against the woke, but it will be finished by Ron DeSantis, (South Carolina Sen.) Tim Scott, and (Virginia Gov.) Glenn Youngkin.”

Absolutely – they want to make it look like that, but its not true. If people stop showing up, as they did with Biden, then they might be right. NOT YET ^5

Exactly what the DS wanted all along. Problem is that of 183 Trump-supported candidates, only 9 were defeated, but the LSM won’t report that —. only lies that get Republicans to “think” it was his fault and then jump ship!

The poor choices they offered to run against the Democrats was terrible.,,, I voted straight Republician ticket , even that I didn’t LIKE the Republicians Rino’s the party chose to run against the Democrats… We The People are tired of the same old CRAP from Washington….. The rinos in the party, McConnell backed murkowski with cash and stopped sending money to masters. Rinos again are the problem. Trump will be trump but he is not the problem. Over 200 candidates backed by trump won and 19 lost. This is fake news.

So true. Trump didn’t blow his picks, they would have won if the Dems didn’t manipulate the elections. Look, they’re still counting House seat votes a week after the election! Machines suddenly broken and unable to count on the day of the elections? They should not be allowed to do that. One day is all they should have, like all the other states! Why do you think they haven’t been able to finish the count? Perhaps the algorithm they’re using matching up vote counts so they can fill in what they’re missing at the last second and win, has slowed it down. Republican picks were leading from the very beginning so they had to fill in the necessary votes, to win. So many elections that started out with Trump picks winning, at the last second drew even and then Dems eclipsed. Hmmm? Sound suspicious? Dems always just a few hundred votes over. Mmm hmm. That’s an algorithm, not chance.

Aptly put ! Poor candidates, very poor campaign decisions on the part of “elite” republican party “leaders”, a minority leader who needed to retire YEARS ago, and the MAJOR “problem” (by “problem” I mean problem for we the people, not a problem for EITHER party) is that the original intent of our founding fathers; that the “people” select a person to send to congress ONLY to REPRESENT and speak on behalf of the ideas, needs, and desires of those who SENT THEM. It was NOT to speak on their own behalf and to “speak” any words that will assure they will KEEP their positions and not have to return to working at their REAL work; farming their land, running their small businesses, working as doctors, lawyers, black smiths, and wagon makers. It was called public SERVICE… one made a SACRIFICE as a visible sign of GRATEFULNESS for escaping a monarchy and living in freedom in a new county. It was like military service, meant to be a LIMITED time (2, 3, 4 years AT THE MOST) and, out of NECESSITY, individuals had to return to their actual livelihood, their work. When you take people of either party, and you place them on a pedestal, lavish on them every possible creature comfort, from private chefs, barbers, trainers, and chauffeurs, to private jets, lavish vacations, parties, and dinners featuring $400 a bottle wines… then YOU, THE PEOPLE are building and paying for IDOLS to rule over you according to THEIR desires; you are not “electing” people to make sacrifices in their own lives and finances in order to “give back” in gratitude. We the people BUILD these monsters; many may have started out with a true servant’s heart. But when you lavish on people, all those things a human being can only dream of, it is becomes VERY hard, almost IMPOSSIBLE, for most individuals to give that up. If we the people were not so “party” orientated, if we changed our behavior so we did not behave like sports fans who continue to support a team that has never won a victory or done one thing for the community, if we simply changed our “rulers” like we change dirty diapers on babies, the eventual result would be the ONLY individuals who would seek offices would be those who TRULY are willing to do with LESS in their own private lives for a short period, in order to do FOR their country… pretty much the same as every citizen who has taken time out of their life to do service for country in the military. We the people CAN change this, but will we ?

OZ wasnt worth voting for, since he is still a dual citizen of Turkey, an Islamic and it had zero to do with TRUMP. Penn’s is nothing more the remnants of a diarrhea of anti American liberalism. They hated CONSERVATIVES long before any head way there.
That wasnt Trumps fault, however I never would have backed Oz. But they thought with Oprah’s blessing and popularity he would win. Poor choice to begin with

Yes they keep trying to View Trump in a bad light with their seemingly well meaning editorials which is really mean and counter productive. These articles are a blatant attempt to disenfranchise Trump supporters and cause them to doubt the whole Republican Party not just one great man. The most beneficial commentaries would be shedding light on the current administrations failures and taking the country in the worst direction since Trumps administration was causing the country to boom. The comments like “oh I don’t care for him but” so all of those buttercups out there just need to suck it up and pay attention to what he is really saying.

Agreed, it is all very Machiavellian like, and it’s an excellent bet that very few citizens (any more) are ever assigned to read Machiavelli’s The Prince in public schools; probably not even at the university level any more. When our students are no longer required to complete 12 years of MANDATORY education, when a high school curriculum focuses on social issues rather than a classic education which would include reading Orwell, Machiavelli, Pasternak (the thinly disguised message to the world about the dangers of Marxist philosophy as told in the fascinating novel Dr. Zhivago), and the more recent work, Camp of the Saints (now VERY difficult to find in any library). Our nation suffers when we “dumb down” and narrowly restrict the books read during high school. After all, the majority of students will NOT go on to study at the university level, therefore, we must return to mandatory school attendance at the foundational level our country agreed to enforce. Without a true classical curriculum focus, without mandatory attendance, you finally get a robotic like population, easily managed and have never been taught critical thinking and analysis skills. That can be very useful for those who wish to take over a country. Perhaps if we consider how we do “education”, top to bottom, kindergarten to university, we can build a strong, independent, citizenship again, and retain a true democratic republic… can cut through all the party rhetoric and foster loyalty to our country and freedom, not loyalty to a “party”.

Another lame-stream media hype from them and the Never Trumpers including McCarthy, McUseless and McDaniels. First they hyped the Red Wave in the hopes that their tactics would create huge disapointment when it didn’t occur, so that afterwards, they could blame PRESIDENT Trump which they are doing. That way Trump supporters would cool towards him. Now, they’re laying it on thick that the defectors are numerous. BIG FAT LIE!!! Lame-stream media and detractors are overlooking of the 235 Trump endorsed candidates to date have won 216 elections. That’s darned good. Now, they’re hyping DeSantis…why? DeSantis’ actions were totally opposite Brandon’s every step. Brandon is their god, so why hype DeSantis? To cause a feud, a split in the ranks. Leave it to the RINOs to destroy the Republican Party.

Maybe if McCarthy, McUseless and McDaniel had spent their money funding the critical races instead of taking millions from them, funneling them into RINO establishment elites’ campaigns, like Murkowski, the outcome would have been different.

Interesting, too, is where there have been “delays” in vote count results like NV, AZ, etc., of those announced, they’re ALL DemONrats. Hmmmm

That’s an algorithm, not chance. We don’t have fair elections anymore, they’re being bought and paid for by Soros/Gates & Co. The U.S. President isn’t Joe Biden, it’s George Soros. Get used to it. No one in America seems to care about corruption, they’re done with Of the People, By the People and For the People – as Soros and Gates have taught us, everything has its price. Whether farmland or elections. No more Power to the People – Power to the Globalist Billionaires. Satan has used GREED from the very beginning, because he knows it works. Why do you think Gates and Soros are so rich? Because Satan knows they’ll serve him with it. And they do. Here’s a little secret: God WILL win in His time. He ALWAYS does. Let me repeat, always! Because He’s GOD! Beauty, Righteousness and Love always wins. Time is irrelevant with God. Jeremiah 1:5 says: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” All our times are in His hands, and that includes Soros and Gates.

It’s not Trump’s fault that the people he supported lost their races, it’s the RNC fault along with McTurtle, Ryan, Pence, by pulling money away from Trump’s picks….As for the orange man losing support in my opinion is that he can’t keep his pie hole shut….He better hurry and eat a Snickers candy bar before he turns into a flow blown Hilary Clinton if he hasn’t already done so….
