January 1, Poll: sharp divide over Biden’s vaccine mandate
Americans are politically divided on President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for employers, a new poll finds.
The AP/NORC survey found 51 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s mandate, compared to 34 percent disapproval. Fourteen percent of respondents said they had no opinion.
The data highlighted a political division, with 77 percent of Democrats saying they approved, compared to 27 percent of Republicans. Sixty-two percent of Republicans said they disapproved.
Politically independent participants were much more divided, with 37 percent approving and 35 percent disapproving. A wide margin of 28 percent had no opinion.
