January 1, NASCAR Suspends Drivers Over Legal Offenses

Published

on

In a move demonstrating NASCAR’s commitment to upholding its image and ensuring the integrity of the sport, the organization announced on Thursday the indefinite suspension of part-time drivers Chris Hacker and Jason White.

The decision comes after both drivers were recently apprehended on charges of alleged impaired driving.

Furthering its crackdown, NASCAR also announced the suspension of Joel Courage.

Last week, Courage was taken into custody in North Carolina over charges of failing to register as a sex offender.

According to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, Courage, 44, had been overseeing E33 Motorsports & Development situated in Mooresville.

The company positions itself as an avenue for identifying and grooming young talent for NASCAR and other racing series.

It’s worth noting that in 2008, Courage was found guilty in California on 14 counts related to sexual offenses.

Shedding light on the drivers, White, aged 44, was arrested in Huntersville on August 3, charged with driving while impaired, as disclosed by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

White is no stranger to the tracks with 157 career starts in NASCAR’s Truck Series, 55 in the Xfinity Series, and two in the premier Cup Series.

Meanwhile, the younger of the two, Hacker, 23, faced his arrest in Huntersville this Tuesday, also on charges of impaired driving.

Hacker’s portfolio includes 14 Truck races and a pair of Xfinity races.

Bottom Line

NASCAR’s decision to suspend the involved individuals reflects its dedication to maintaining a professional environment for its drivers, staff, and millions of fans across the globe.

You are correct Robert. NASCAR is ruling, and regulating it’s self out of existence. Their racing is boring as hell. I find HHRA drag racing to be a lot more exciting.

It seems that like their racetracks, NASCAR has decided to go left and circle! Most boring sport there is, people are waiting for the wrecks to happen for a little excitement.
