January 1, Trump Strikes Oil Deal Days After Maduro Falls
Wyatt’s Take
- Trump wastes no time, striking a big oil deal with Venezuela days after Maduro’s capture.
- The agreement could shift billions away from dictators and help Americans and Venezuelans instead.
- This move deals a blow to tyrants in Cuba and China who depended on Venezuela’s oil.
Just days after the dramatic capture of Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro, President Trump announced a fast-moving deal to bring millions of barrels of Venezuelan oil to the United States.
Both countries stand to benefit as oil money is set aside for the people, breaking the long grip of socialist rulers and their foreign allies.
Trump shared his news Tuesday, revealing Venezuela’s temporary leaders agreed to hand over between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil to America. The plan is to sell the oil at market prices and use the money for American and Venezuelan citizens.
“I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America. This Oil will be sold at its Market…”
For years, Venezuela’s oil funded communist regimes and corrupt dictatorships. With Maduro taken down, his allies in Cuba and China are left reeling, losing their main energy supply.
Cuba’s official mourning over Maduro’s fall may be less about lives lost and more about a sudden oil shortage. China’s outrage is tied to its own oil interests, not justice.
Trump’s new deal promises a different future—one where oil profits stop supporting socialism abroad and instead help struggling families in both Venezuela and America.
The country’s oil industry, once the largest in the world, is a shadow of its former self after decades of socialist mismanagement. Estimates value the oil at about $2.4 billion if it’s sold on the open market.
While Trump still needs to work with what’s left of Venezuela’s corrupt leadership to finalize the deal, his track record shows he specializes in getting things done despite obstacles.
From American factories to foreign deals, this second Trump term is shaping up a lot like the first: bold moves, rapid action, and America-first results.

This story is about bringing home the benefits of American strength. When leaders act swiftly and put everyday families first, the heartland stands taller and our country grows stronger. America works best when we look out for each other, not foreign dictators.
