Diane Farr, the 56-year-old actress known for her roles in “Fire Country” and “Numb3rs,” has officially left Los Angeles after calling it home for exactly 30 years. She announced the move on Instagram with an emotional goodbye that showed just how hard it was to walk away from the city that made her career possible.
Farr moved to LA from New York City at age 26, chasing the acting dream that somehow worked out. She landed her breakthrough role in “Roswell” back in 1999 and went on to star in multiple hit shows.
“I wasn’t born here, I didn’t go to school here – I just had a chance for representation as an actor and I moved out of NYC the summer I was 26,” she wrote. “I came like most of the people I love in Hollywoodland – none of which I saw this week bc moving sucks.”
The actress didn’t just build a career in Los Angeles — she raised a family there too. Farr shares three children with her ex-husband Seung Yong Chung: 18-year-old son Beckett and 17-year-old twin daughters Coco and Sawyer.
“I also got to raise babies in the sun and the mountains and enjoy this beautiful home and attend public schools,” she said. “Pinch me I’m overwhelmed by the blessings and hope, really hope I gave enough back. LA will always be where my family is from.”
Her farewell video showed the reality of moving day — loading up a 15-foot truck, saying goodbye to her motorcycle, walking through empty rooms filled with decades of memories. It was the kind of bittersweet moment that hits anyone who’s ever left a place they truly loved, even when they know it’s time to go.
Farr described entering her “third act” as she “settles into whatever it is I’m supposed to be…as a one.” She hinted at exploring “a couple of countries I never saw myself in,” suggesting her next chapter might take her even further from the Hollywood bubble.
“We are just taking a hiatus now – a word I learned here – so we are letting the house go,” she wrote. “But god damn this was harder than I thought. To leave this house. To leave this dream, even if it is realized – and to leave home. Thank you #cityofangels.”
Fans flooded her comments with support for the big move. One wrote, “Good luck and safe travels as you start the next book in your series of life.”
Another added, “Lots of great memories to remember ❤️ on the next chapter to make even more amazing memories.”
The timing is notable. Farr’s departure comes as California continues hemorrhaging residents who’ve had enough of high taxes, crime, homelessness, and policies that punish success while rewarding failure. Even people who made it big in the entertainment industry are realizing the California dream has turned into a nightmare.
Season four of “Fire Country” wrapped up in May, leaving Farr free to pursue whatever comes next — wherever that might be.

Oh, she’s exploring “other countries”? Sounds like she not just fed up with the tax situation in CA ( who isn’t)but also just another HW DJT hater. Maybe, the more HW elites that exit this state, CA might have a chance to recover from the left wing political idiots they helped elect to contribute to CA’s downfall.

These are the same Hollywood people that that created the entire problem with their support and money to support the fair left Democrats that have been running the state for over 50 years but now they are crying about what they themselves created.

A problem also is that the Democrats when they move take their (D) votes with them in turn bringing the political mess they left behind to their new city, state and federal voting systematically changing their landscape Blue entering a whole new can of political worms. If your bringing that vote with just stay where your at we really do not want the Midwest comfort of conservatism; otherwise welcome to the sanity States.

If she is one of those bleeding heart liberals, let us pray she does in fact move to another country. The USA does not need any more socialists. I also hope these moves wake up the “legal” voters to vote out the vermin that has taken over the Democratic party. A great state like California needs to be completely revamped to make it the “Golden” state that it used to be.

Our state of Florida welcomes all new residents as long as they leave their politics behind. We have a law-abiding, tax and business friendly and upbeat atmosphere that blue states don’t offer their residents. Just don’try and convert us to your old values. Looking at other countries to live in isn’t just about our current administration, it’s also about what might happen to our country as a whole if socialist/marxist candidates start steering our well-running ship into the nearest giant iceberg. On the other hand, no one wants to jump off the ship into shark infested waters. Everyone needs to keep a “heads up” over what is happening in our country.

Florida better damn well be careful, those shitbags don’t leave those fucked up policies behind they being them with them and try to implement them in your state. No son of a bitch that ruin their own blue states by voting in the communist democrats should be totally banned from moving to a red state. They will only try to ruin yet another state.
