And that’s the key difference. These aren’t biased media pundits making predictions to push an agenda. These are everyday Americans putting their hard-earned cash on the line based on what they actually believe will happen.

The platform has evolved beyond just a betting site. About 75% of visitors now use it to monitor election forecasts without placing any wagers at all. They’re treating it as an information source — a more reliable one than cable news talking heads.

Campaigns themselves are taking notice. Instead of waiting days for new polls after a debate or major announcement, candidates can see instantly whether their message is breaking through. It’s like having a focus group that never sleeps.

The hub lets users track races by how competitive they are, which seats might flip parties, and how much trading volume each race is generating. You can view polling averages, Federal Election Commission fundraising reports, and historical voting patterns all in one place.

Critics worry about whether traders with insider political knowledge could game the system. But Kalshi operates under federal regulation in the United States, where insider trading and market manipulation are illegal. The company says it actively monitors for suspicious activity.

The track record speaks for itself. Kalshi says candidates favored by its markets have won about 90% of races since 2024 — even when predictions were made three months before Election Day. That’s a batting average the mainstream media’s pollsters can only dream about.

The platform plans to expand beyond the 2026 midterms, aiming to become a permanent fixture for tracking U.S. political races. That means more transparency, more accountability, and less room for the political class to hide from reality.
