January 1, Pete Hegseth Calls for Unified Standard in Combat Roles for Men and Women

Published

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has made a big move for our military! On Sunday, he announced that men and women will now have the same standards for combat roles. This is something he promised to do, and he’s kept his word.

In a video posted on Monday, Hegseth showed us a new rule that ensures everyone has to meet the same tough standards, no matter if you’re a man or a woman. For too long, he said, we’ve let these standards slip by having different rules for men and women, and that’s just not okay.

“Everyone should face the same rules so we have the best leaders and best soldiers out there,” Hegseth said. “It shouldn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman.”

Before he was Defense Secretary, Hegseth wasn’t all for the idea of women in combat roles. But during his confirmation, he changed his view and supported one standard for everyone. This helped him get support from important folks like Sen. Joni Ernst from Iowa.

Sen. Ernst said she’ll work with Hegseth to make sure our military is strong and keeps those high standards. She also wants to make sure there’s someone in charge to prevent problems like sexual assault in our military ranks.

Hegseth signed the memorandum on Monday, making these equal standards official. This is a step to ensure our troops are ready and equipped to defend our nation with the highest level of skill and unity.

Wyatt Matters!

Having the same standards for everyone in the military is a really fair idea. It means that everyone, no matter if they’re a man or a woman, has to do their best and work as hard as they can. This new rule makes sure that all soldiers are super strong and really good at what they do. It’s like in sports—a good team needs everyone to train the same way to win.

Before, the rules were different for men and women, which didn’t seem very equal. Now, with the new rule, everyone must follow the same tough standards. This helps make the military stronger because the focus is on what people can do, not just who they are. It makes sure that soldiers who are given important jobs are the right ones for it because they’ve all proven they can handle it.

Having equal standards also brings people together. When everyone is judged the same way, it makes them feel like they’re all part of the same team. It’s important to have leaders who know how to work with everyone, and this change helps make sure we have the best leaders possible. Soldiers who work together well can keep each other safe and protect the country better.

Anyone supporting equality of the sexes will accept this. Anyone who doesn’t accept this is not supporting equality of the sexes. Not rocket science.

Hmm. Seems fair but is it practical? Men are generally stronger. Women are generally better shots. In college ROTC, women are often faster than the men. Women tend to be smaller. Is that an advantage in combat vehicles or exposed combat positions?

Shouldn’t the goal be, “can they do the job well?” And, in the many years when the military has trouble meeting its recruiting goals, will the standards remain the same as recruiting aims for the best it can get to enlist?

thats NOT true men have alway been better shots. I was in the Army for 15 years and trained with men and women. Women ALWAYS had a harder time qualifying at the range. Just a fact my liberal friend.

This is for COMBAT roles. Anyone who cannot meet the standards does not belong in combat. Women in general are not faster than men. If a man is injured, a weaker person may not be able to drag/carry him to safety.
Many men would not join the woke military, or fight in wars intended to be continuous, and not won.

I agree completely! If you meet the same standards, you are good to go! This is true equality and when you absolutely have to go to battle, you have to sure te ones standing with you have met the standards.

Okay, do we go back to the standards of the military of WWII, Korea, Viet Nam? And do we mean PT scores or marksmenship or keeping your barracks room squared away. The standards we had to meet in BCT in 1969, jump school, the Ranger course, SFQC would likely exceed the abilities of many a soldier today.
And, before you jump my ass, understand that I have no beef with women in the military. I have a problem with some soldiers being put in the position of doing twice as much because another soldier can only do half as much.

This is what armies do. they compete and the winner gets the prize. If women want into the game they must meet a standard that is set by the best example of a soldier that can be considered a major advantage over the enemy or opponent. So, ladies pull up those panties and get ready to be more than all you cvan be!

Here we go again! The standards will be lowered again, so women can say that they have the same standards as men! Good grief! I was hoping this crap would stop! But noooooooo….
