January 1, Hollywood’s WOKE Obsession Just Hit a Catastrophic New Low

Wyatt’s Take

  • Liberal elites are pushing woke fiction so hard they’ve completely lost touch with what real Americans actually want to watch
  • The entertainment industry’s obsession with virtue-signaling over storytelling is destroying beloved franchises and alienating millions of viewers
  • Working families are sick of having radical ideology crammed down their throats every time they turn on the TV

Hollywood has officially jumped the shark. Again. The entertainment industry’s relentless march toward woke ideology has reached new heights of absurdity, forcing political correctness into every corner of American culture.

What used to be escapist entertainment has become a lecture circuit for coastal elites. Every movie, every show, every storyline seems designed to check diversity boxes rather than tell compelling stories that resonate with everyday Americans.

The pattern is clear: take a beloved franchise, inject it with identity politics, watch it crash and burn, then blame the audience for being backwards. It’s a cycle that’s repeated itself so many times you’d think Hollywood would learn. But they don’t.

Real Americans aren’t asking for political sermons when they sit down to watch a movie. They want heroes they can root for, stories that inspire, and entertainment that doesn’t treat them like they need to be reeducated.

The disconnect between what Hollywood produces and what Middle America actually wants has never been wider. While executives pat themselves on the back for their progressive credentials, viewership numbers tell a different story entirely.

Streaming services are hemorrhaging subscribers. Theater attendance continues its steady decline. Yet the entertainment industry doubles down on the same failed formula, convinced that the problem is with audiences rather than their own creative bankruptcy.

This isn’t about resisting change or progress. It’s about demanding quality storytelling that doesn’t sacrifice character development and plot coherence on the altar of social justice messaging.

Traditional values, strong families, and patriotic themes used to be Hollywood staples. Now they’re treated like relics of a shameful past that needs to be erased and reimagined through a lens of perpetual grievance.

The irony is that when studios do produce content that respects audiences and focuses on universal themes rather than divisive politics, it succeeds. But those lessons never seem to stick.

Why It Matters

Hard-working Americans deserve entertainment that reflects their values, not lectures them about what coastal elites think they should believe. When Hollywood prioritizes ideology over storytelling, everyone loses—except maybe the activists who care more about pushing an agenda than producing quality content families actually want to watch together.
