Wyatt’s Take

  • Secretary Pete Hegseth framed Operation Epic Fury as a decisive U.S. and Israeli victory over Iran’s nuclear and military capabilities.
  • The administration said Iran sought a ceasefire after missile attacks failed to halt American forces.
  • Hegseth also said Trump spared Iran’s energy infrastructure while warning the regime it could face even harsher strikes.

Operation Epic Fury has effectively ended the 47-year threat posed by the radicals in Tehran who chanted for our destruction.

Hegseth said Iran can no longer build missiles or drones because their factories have been razed to the ground.

"Iran has been a threat to the United States and free world for 47 years. Chants of ‘Death to America,’ targeting our people, killing Americans, lying and blackmailing toward a nuclear weapon, or so they thought. No longer. Not on our watch," Hegseth said.

The Secretary said the military was prepared to target power plants and bridges if the regime had not accepted the ceasefire terms.

Instead, the administration opened a path toward peace after showing the world what American capability looks like.

"What little they have left buried in bunkers is all they will have. They can still shoot, we know that," Hegseth continued.

Hegseth also honored the seven American heroes lost to hostile action during the operation.

He praised their grit and sacrifice.

He credited divine providence for the success of tens of thousands of sorties that protected American warriors during the mission.

"I’m proud of you. We’re proud of you. The president is proud of you. Job well done," Hegseth said.

It is time the rest of our allies took notes on what true leadership and military resolve look like.
