January 1, Trump’s Hormuz Push Spurs New Bypass Corridor Plan

Wyatt’s Take
- President Trump is backing a land-based trade route to reduce Iran’s leverage over global shipping.
- The plan would move oil and goods through pipelines and rail instead of vulnerable sea lanes.
- Supporters say new corridors could protect energy supplies and lower risks from attacks and choke points.
NewMed Energy CEO Yossi Abu says the region needs pipelines and rail connections to avoid bottlenecks.
“You need oil pipelines, railway connectivity throughout the region, onshore, without giving others bottlenecks to choke us,” Abu said.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also backs rerouting energy pipelines westward.
“Long-term solutions include rerouting energy pipelines westward, across Saudi Arabia to the Red Sea and Mediterranean, bypassing Iran’s geographic choke point,” Netanyahu said.
The status quo is no longer sustainable when hostile regimes can threaten vital trade routes. Better planning could mean more stability and lower prices for American families.
Wyatt Matters
Working families know disruptions in the Middle East quickly show up at the gas pump and grocery store. Breaking Iran’s grip on trade is a practical way to protect American households.

It has been obvious for a long time that the land corridor was the way to go, let’s go.

This is probably a great idea and should have been in lace prior to this Strait of Hormuz mess.

Why don’t we get our own pipelines in order and start using them and to hell with everybody else.

Stop the hoarding of U.S. oil and tap our reserves, that Rainy Day supply excuse is sheer nonsense.

The status quo is no longer sustainable when hostile regimes, led by an imbecile as is the case now with the USA, can threaten vital trade routes. Better scrutiny of felons running for President would mean more stability and lower prices for American families and security for the world..
