Wyatt’s Take

  • Senator is calling out the Pentagon for firing troops over Biden’s Covid shot rule
  • Efforts are underway to return these patriots to service and pay what’s owed
  • Leaders finally admitting that forcing out good soldiers for conscience was wrong

Folks in middle America understand standing up for what’s right. That’s why so many are backing the push to bring back our servicemen and women who refused to get Biden’s experimental Covid shot. These people risked their careers for their beliefs and paid the price during a time when our country needed them most.

Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin isn’t letting the issue slide. He’s pushed the Pentagon to say exactly what they’re doing to make things right for our troops who lost their jobs just for refusing the mandate. In a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the senator asked for details about reinstating all service members who got the boot for defying Biden’s order.

Back when Biden was president, his administration forced about 8,700 soldiers out of the service because they wouldn’t take that untested shot. Many said it was wrong from the start. Even Defense Secretary Hegseth now questions the lawfulness of the previous mandate. “This dismissal of thousands of brave men and women from the military was a despicable act that damaged our armed forces,” Johnson wrote.

The senator pointed out that, although President Trump is now offering full back pay and the promise of reinstatement, some troops are still left in limbo. The law now gives them the right to rejoin with all the benefits and pay they deserve. Trump even signed an order for it, and Hegseth quickly moved to make it happen. New guidance went out to the Defense Department, telling officials to speed things up for those left waiting.

In a recent message, Hegseth said, “We all know that the previous administration issued unlawful orders on mandatory vaccines, on an experimental vaccine — Covid-19.” He also told America: “We want anyone impacted by that vaccine mandate back into the military — people of conscience, warriors of conscience — back in our formations.”

Johnson ended his letter by urging the secretary to review reports on this and make sure his office gets an update by August 19. “Carefully review [the Caller] article and provide a briefing to [his] office by August 19, 2025, regarding DoD’s efforts to apologize, reinstate, and provide back pay to the service members who were terminated after refusing to take the COVID-19 injection,” he wrote.

Wyatt Matters

Real Americans know you don’t turn your back on the men and women who put it all on the line for our country. This whole episode proves why standing up for your beliefs, even when it’s costly, matters. It’s time Washington did right by these heroes and remembered that middle America values—faith, conscience, and patriotism—should come before politics or mandates. Let’s hope our leaders never make this kind of mistake again.
