Wyatt’s Take

  • A Mexican national accused of killing four people in a random arson fire may walk free due to city policies.
  • Sanctuary rules prevent local jails from turning violent criminal illegal aliens over to federal immigration authorities.
  • Working families pay the price when politicians prioritize open borders over public safety and basic justice.

Roman Ceron Amatitla allegedly set fire to an apartment building at random this past March.

The resulting blaze killed four people and injured seven others in a horrific act of violence.

Prosecutors claim the suspect watched the building burn while drinking a beer.

He reportedly stayed on the scene to observe victims jumping from windows to escape the smoke.

The Department of Homeland Security reports that local officials are refusing to honor a request to turn the suspect over to ICE.

This is a direct result of sanctuary city executive orders that shield criminal aliens.

“This monster set fire to a building and watched as innocent people, including a three-year-old, burned to death,” said DHS acting assistant secretary Lauren Bis.

Evidence shows that thousands of illegal immigrants with criminal records have been released in New York.

Local laws intentionally bar police departments from cooperating with federal enforcement efforts.

Data indicates that thousands of active detainers for crimes like homicide and assault are being ignored by the city.

This policy places every neighborhood at risk for the sake of political optics.

Wyatt Matters

Heartland values teach us that the first job of government is to protect its own citizens. When leaders shield those who kill the innocent, they have abandoned their duty to the American people.
