January 1, Media Doubles Down on Transgender Agenda

Wyatt’s Take

  • Legacy media clings to transgender ideology no matter what
  • The left stays devoted even when their tactics shift
  • Mainstream outlets blame conservatives for tragic outcomes

The Transgender Day of Remembrance spotlighted just how committed the media and progressive groups still are to promoting transgender beliefs, with no sign of letting up. Recent stories show how big outlets pivot their methods, but never question the core idea behind it all.

The Trump Administration’s moves against male athletes in women’s sports forced powerful groups like the International Olympic Committee to reconsider, and Trump’s attacks on Kamala Harris’ support for trans medical procedures on illegal immigrants in prison played a role in her downfall.

Still, none of this shakes the media’s dedication to transgender dogma.

Take the Washington Post’s editorial board after Health and Human Services released the latest on gender dysphoria treatments. Rather than fully defending hormonal and surgical interventions for minors, they claimed not enough is known and titled it “What we still don’t know about pediatric medical transition.”

They questioned clear evidence against these risky procedures:

“it is not ethical to subject adolescents to hormonal and surgical interventions … even in a research trial, until and unless the state of the evidence suggests a favorable risk/benefit profile for the studied intervention.”

That this is even controversial shows just how tight a grip the trans ideology has on legacy media.

CNN’s coverage showed similar confusion. Reporter Leah Asmelash wondered aloud what “trans ideology” even means, despite her own past reporting celebrating films with trans messages and covering the Transgender Day of Remembrance in glowing terms.

They ran a long article celebrating eight trans-identifying people who passed away this year, painting each one in glowing terms like,

“Tahiry Broom could show up anywhere — from a seat at a church service to a night club’s pulsing dance floor — armed with her long, painted nails, shimmery eyeshadow and colorful wigs. Then, like magic, the whole place would belong to her.”

— CNN

Such coverage won’t leave out blaming conservatives and religious Americans for the troubles faced by trans-identifying individuals:

“For transgender Americans, this year’s memorials will take on particular poignance, as the Trump administration and conservative lawmakers have taken great strides to restrict how they can live publicly and privately.”

— CNN

This narrative continues despite little actual evidence linking violence to identity in many of these cases.

The media presses on with the propaganda, glossing over facts in favor of a preferred story, only rarely supplying proof for their accusations.

The point isn’t to be callous about loss.

Every life matters and these people had folks who loved them and wanted better futures for them.

One story stood out about a mother who lamented never seeing her child find love or have a family:

“It stings, she said, that she’ll never see her son get married or have children.”

— The mother

Yet the reality is the drugs and surgeries pushed by these beliefs can rob young people of those very chances.

Stay tuned as we continue to hold the media and politicians accountable for their relentless promotion of these ideas—your family’s future depends on truth prevailing.
