January 1, Grandmother Charged with Threatening to Use Witchcraft Against Police Officer

In what can only be described as an odd confrontation with the law, a Williamsburg, PA, grandmother resorted to threats of “white witchery” against a Hollidaysburg police officer in a desperate bid to get her grandson’s felony drug charge dropped.

Celestia Barker III, aged 74, reportedly called the Hollidaysburg Police on March 27, requesting an officer to dismiss her grandson’s felony charges, claiming he was only in possession of a minor amount of marijuana and a pipe.

Not stopping there, Barker added an unexpected twist, warning the officer of her practice of “witch” activities.

According to WTAJ, she pronounced a clear threat: if the charges weren’t dropped, he’d find himself in peril due to her mystical capabilities.

Instead of heeding the threat, the officer disconnected the call. Undeterred, Barker dialed back repeatedly and even made three separate calls to Blair County Dispatch, as indicated in court records.

Upon being confronted by the Pennsylvania State Police regarding her mystifying threats, Barker didn’t hesitate to confirm, asking, “Yes, I did do that. Is there a law against it?”

When informed that indeed there is a law against such threats, Barker elaborated on her supernatural claims, advising the trooper that she is a practitioner of “white witchery” and that the authorities “best be looking over their shoulder.”

In a twist of irony, Barker’s alleged mystical powers couldn’t shield her from the law.

She now faces a serious charge: threatening unlawful harm to a public servant to the judicial process.

Interestingly, those who claim to practice “White” Witchery distinguish it from Black Magic or witchcraft by claiming “white witches are those who practice goodness and benevolence in all they do. They do not cast spells to harm others or to do selfish things for themselves that would involve intentional harm to others.” (learningwitchcraft.com) It doesn’t sound “benevolent” to threaten the police. This just shows there is no true distinction, all forms of witchcraft is a turn to Satan.
