January 1, Democrats’ Social Media Blunder Sparks Online Backlash

The Democrats had a bit of a mess-up on social media the other day. They tried to blame former President Donald Trump for high grocery prices, but it didn’t work out. They put up a chart showing prices for things like fruits, veggies, meat, cheese, and drinks getting really high in 2025. They called it “Trump’s America,” but folks on X (formerly Twitter) quickly pointed out that those price jumps happened when President Joe Biden was in charge.

The chart showed how prices really shot up while Biden was the one sitting in the White House. Once folks noticed this oopsie, the Democrats took the post down. Even the White House had to join in and say that the chart pointed out the big price spikes during Biden’s presidency.

People on X had a lot to say. Peter Hasson, a writer, posted that the Democrats had to delete the tweet when everyone saw it was Biden’s time that had the high grocery prices. Outkick writer Ian Miller chimed in, saying it was kind of silly for the Democrats to use a chart showing those price hikes under Biden to try and make Trump look bad. Kyle Smith from The Wall Street Journal also called it “breathtakingly moronic.”

When Biden was president, inflation got up to a whopping 9.1% in June 2022, and the cost of food went up 22% in just one term, according to The New York Post. But now that Trump is back, his first six months have only shown about a 1% increase in food costs in U.S. cities, based on federal data.

Under Trump’s current leadership, inflation reports have been surprising experts by being lower than they thought. There’s a slight bump in the latest numbers, but overall, Trump is seen as keeping inflation in check. The White House says this proves President Trump is doing a good job managing the economy, despite critics worrying tariffs might push prices up.

It’s important to remember how prices affect everyone, especially when thinking about who leads the country. People noticed high prices for groceries when President Biden was in office. It made it harder for families to buy the food they needed. Some folks tried to blame former President Trump for this by using charts, but those charts actually showed how prices jumped when Biden was president. Mistakes happen, but it’s essential to be honest about who was in charge when costs went up.

When supporters of the Democrats pointed fingers at Trump, they used a chart that did not tell the whole story. This confused people because the price spikes happened during Biden’s presidency, not Trump’s. Sharing misleading information isn’t helpful and can make people frustrated. It’s important to double-check facts before putting out reports or charts, especially on social media. This helps everyone understand what’s truly happening with the economy.

Since Trump has been back, people have noticed that inflation seems to be under control, which is a relief for many. Prices haven’t jumped as much, which helps families manage their groceries and other needs. It’s crucial for leaders to focus on keeping prices stable so everyone can afford basic needs. Taking care of the economy means thinking about how everyday prices affect the people who buy groceries, pay for gas, and make ends meet. When prices stay reasonable, it’s good for all families across the country.

That was no mistake. Dems have NEVER owned up to a bad economy even when their economy was at the nation’s worst. They have always blamed someone else.
