January 1, Trump DEMANDS Senate Fire Deep State Bureaucrat Blocking MAGA Agenda
Wyatt’s Take
- Trump isn’t backing down — he’s calling out the unelected Senate referee blocking his signature voter integrity bill
- The so-called ‘neutral’ parliamentarian has been quietly sabotaging conservative priorities for years with convenient procedural rulings
- This is exactly why Americans voted for Trump — to drain the swamp and fire the bureaucrats standing in the way of common-sense reform
President Donald Trump is turning up the heat on Senate leadership, demanding they remove the unelected bureaucrat he says is single-handedly blocking his America First agenda. The target? Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough, the procedural referee Trump accuses of left-wing bias and deliberate obstruction.
At the center of the firestorm is the Save America Act — also known as the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act — a landmark voter integrity bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. Common sense to most Americans. A threat to Democrats who depend on lax verification rules.
MacDonough has thrown up procedural roadblocks using Senate rules, the kind of technical objections that conveniently appear whenever conservatives try to pass meaningful reform. Trump isn’t buying the ‘neutral arbiter’ act anymore.
The parliamentarian position is supposed to be nonpartisan, interpreting Senate rules without political bias. But MacDonough’s track record tells a different story. Time and again, her rulings have favored Democrat priorities while strangling Republican initiatives in red tape.
Trump’s allies in the Senate are rallying behind the call to replace her. They argue that an unelected official shouldn’t have veto power over the will of 53 elected Republican senators and the 77 million Americans who voted to secure our elections.
The Save America Act would close loopholes that allow non-citizens to register and vote, require voter roll audits, and mandate photo ID nationwide. Poll after poll shows overwhelming public support — including majorities of Democrats — for these basic safeguards.
Yet MacDonough has ruled key provisions can’t be included in budget reconciliation, the fast-track process Republicans are using to bypass Democrat filibusters. Her interpretation forces Republicans to either water down the bill or face a 60-vote threshold they can’t reach.
Critics note that Democrats had no problem sidelining the parliamentarian when it suited them. In 2001, Democrats pressured then-Parliamentarian Robert Dove into retirement after unfavorable rulings. When convenient, the left treats Senate rules as suggestions.
Trump is betting Senate Majority Leader John Thune will show the same backbone. Replace MacDonough with someone who interprets rules fairly, not through a partisan lens. Let the elected representatives pass the agenda voters demanded.
The Washington establishment is clutching its pearls, warning that firing the parliamentarian would destroy sacred norms. These are the same people who normalized censorship, weaponized federal agencies against conservatives, and impeached Trump twice on manufactured charges.
For working Americans who just want elections they can trust, the choice is simple: Side with an unelected bureaucrat protecting the swamp, or side with the president fighting to deliver the reforms they voted for.
Wyatt Matters
This fight isn’t about Senate procedure — it’s about whether unelected officials can override the will of the people. Americans sent Trump back to Washington with a mandate to secure our elections and restore faith in our democracy. Any bureaucrat standing in the way needs to be shown the door. That’s not breaking norms, that’s delivering results.
