  • Claims of dishonesty and cover-ups swirl in White House press room drama.
  • Sharp words highlight deeper divides over Biden’s record.

The White House press office turned into a battleground as Karoline Leavitt fired back at Karine Jean-Pierre. Leavitt accused Jean-Pierre of lying to the American people and covering up mistakes for President Biden.

Leavitt said during a Fox News segment.

“With all due respect to my predecessor, she is one of the main culprits of the greatest cover-up and scandal in American history.”

Jean-Pierre, now on a book tour, had called Leavitt’s recent remarks about Democrats.

“Deplorable.”

She said

“And I’m using that word on purpose. Because they don’t seem to understand, this is the Trump White House, that they don’t work for just one man.”

“They work for the American people.”

Jean-Pierre defended her work with Biden and claimed he’d been more open with the press than Donald Trump.

Leavitt pushed back, accusing Biden’s team of misleading the country and called Jean-Pierre

“bitter.”

Leavitt said

“She took the podium every day and lied to the press about the incompetence of her boss.”

“And on this book tour, she continues to lie.”

She also stated

“bitter will not sell you books.”

The heated back-and-forth spotlights the frustration and mistrust many folks feel about how information comes out of Washington these days.
