Wyatt’s Take

President Trump ordered flags across America flown at half-staff after a tragic shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school. Two children lost their lives, and law enforcement is treating the case as a hate crime and domestic terrorism against Catholics.

  • Trump’s declaration is a national act of mourning.
  • FBI is investigating religious targeting.
  • The shooter left disturbing messages before his death.

The presidential proclamation directs all flags on government buildings, military sites, and ships to remain at half-staff until sunset on Sunday. As soon as it was announced, the flag above the White House was lowered to honor the victims.

The violence struck during morning Mass, where two young children, ages eight and ten, were killed in their pews. Fourteen more children between six and fifteen, along with three elderly parishioners, were wounded.

Authorities identified the 23-year-old shooter as Robin Westman, who posted videos brandishing ammo magazines with hateful scribbles. Despite his social media posts and a known personal link to the church, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said no clear motive has been found.

"Two were young children, ages eight and 10, that were sitting in the pews at Mass when they were shot and killed. They were pronounced deceased on the scene," O’Hara reported.

Americans are left shocked and seeking answers as the FBI digs deeper.
