January 1, Biden’s Supreme Court Overhaul Sparks Fierce Debate Amid Election Countdown
In a bold move, President Joe Biden has detailed his plans for sweeping reforms to the U.S. Supreme Court. While Vice President Kamala Harris applauds the proposed measures as necessary for restoring confidence in the court, some conservatives are left questioning the true motivation behind this sudden push for change.
The recently unveiled proposal, which includes ideas such as imposing term limits on justices and establishing a mandatory ethics code, comes amidst falling public faith in the Supreme Court and a concerning 6-3 conservative majority. However, the timing of the announcement raises eyebrows, as it is just shy of 100 days until Election Day.
Biden has publicly called on Congress to implement a system wherein a justice is appointed every two years for an 18-year term, replacing the current lifetime appointment tradition. He argues that term limits would lend a sense of predictability to the nomination process and ensure the court’s evolution alongside societal changes.
The allegations of ethical misconduct among the current justices have been another driving force behind Biden’s reform push. His proposed ethics code aims to increase transparency and reduce conflict-of-interest scenarios.
However, not everyone is convinced by these purported intentions. Former President Donald Trump has labeled the move as an attempt by Democrats to manipulate the justice system for their own political gains.
Among the justices who could be affected by these proposed changes are conservative members Clarence Thomas, Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justice Samuel Alito, who have been on the bench for more than 18 years.
The idea of term limits for Supreme Court justices isn’t unpopular among the public – a poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that 67% of Americans support the idea. What remains to be seen is whether these shifts, if enacted, will truly restore public confidence in the court or further polarize opinion.
Biden has also floated suggestions for a discipline system for justices who violate the proposed ethics code. This controversial proposition adds another layer of complexity to what promises to be a fiercely debated issue.
Trump, in response to these aggressive changes, has called out Biden and his administration for their “desperate attempt” to influence justice. Furthermore, he raised concerns over the potential abuse of power resulting from such reforms, emphasizing the importance of defending the independence of our courts.
In addition, Biden has proposed a constitutional amendment to reverse the Supreme Court’s ruling that grants former presidents immunity from prosecution. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this suggestion has already ignited heated debate, especially given the ongoing legal investigations involving Trump.
These proposed changes are ambitious, to say the least, and demonstrate a remarkable shift in Biden’s stance since his election campaign. Viewed by some conservatives as another example of the left’s attempts to seize power, these reforms could dramatically alter the landscape of American justice. It remains to be seen how these proposals will fare in a divided Congress and with the American public. Where we might want to start with TERM LIMITS, is in Congress where people like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden have spent 40-50 years making millions of dollars above their House and Senate pay. These aren’t rare examples of our supposed leaders taking advantage of the American People!

In order for the terms of federal justices to be limited, Congress and the states would have to amend the Constitution. As Biden’s handlers know, that will not happen. So, that idea is just a political stunt. Congress can and has adjusted the number of justices, but that is also a big stretch. Roosevelt tried to pack the Court, but his own party balked in Congress and he failed. As for writing rules of ethics for the justices, that attacks the doctine of separation of powers and will definitely end up in court, which would be the Supreme Court. Good luck with that.

Biden and Harris are like all liberals. They cannot accept anyone having a different opinion than theirs. If you don’t drink their koolaid you must be destroyed. Because the Supreme Court doesn’t rule in your favor doesn’t make them wrong it means you are intolerant. They are zealots and ideologues who won’t accept anything other than their own ideology. They are very much a threat to the ideals our founding fathers founded America on.

We all know Biden is brain dead but one would think that someone in that army of aids that he has hanging on, would tell him that those changes would require a constitutional amendment, not some stupid EO, or bill passed by congress. The democrats know they don’t have the votes in either the house or the senate to pass something like that, so let’s see what kind of illegal action they try. In his feeble mind he must think he can do whatever he wants and that’s just the way it is. If we, the citizens, don’t purge these left wing democrats from our government, and soon, they will destroy our constitutional republic and install their form of a socialist government, with them in total control of course.

Well ? Iam almost 70 years old. I have done every evil thing known to man. Not for greed ? but breathing and contaminating my air. I grew up on a farm. From 5 years old raised my self. At time it was norm. Back then schools teaches 10 commandments. Pledge allegiance to USA FLAG . We had knives in pockets, see who could sharpen the pointiest lead pencil. Later in school, brought guns to SCHOOL to fix old crappie stocks. THERE was rules ? no one had any PROBLEMS with WOKE or knowing what the SEX they where. Males where Horny ! Girls where twice an KNOWLEGABLE !! Big Problem !!! Pregnancy !!! So my QUESTION what happened !!! As far as JUDGES !!! NO and I MEAN NO !! Judge should NOT!!! Be any POLITICAL PARTY OR RELIDGOUS BELIEFE !!! How can any Humane be impartial judging if even believing something and JUDGE AGAINST IT ??? THE answer to HOW??? HAVE COMMOIN SENCE!!!
