January 1, Texas Regains Control of Border Crossings After Court Ruling

Wyatt’s Take
- The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals cleared the way for Texas to enforce Senate Bill 4.
- Judges ruled the plaintiffs lacked standing to sue over the law.
- The decision removes a major obstacle to state-led border enforcement.
Texas just secured a massive victory for sovereignty. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals cleared the way for state police to arrest illegal aliens.
This ruling tosses out roadblocks set by activist groups. It proves that states can defend their own borders when the federal government fails to do its job.
The lawsuit targeted Senate Bill 4, a measure passed to stop the flood of illegal crossings.
Local officials and advocacy groups tried to claim the law caused them financial harm.
The court wasn’t buying their excuses. The 159-page ruling stated that these groups could not manufacture standing by voluntarily spending money on advocacy.
“Plaintiffs must have a ‘personal stake in a case to have standing to sue.’ Plaintiffs cannot ‘manufacture standing by voluntarily’ incurring costs,” the ruling read.
“That should be the end of this matter: These Plaintiffs voluntarily incurred costs to advocate for clients.”
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton celebrated the decision as a win for law and order.
He noted that the right to protect citizens is fundamental to the state’s mission.
This law allows state authorities to take charge where federal enforcement has been lacking.
It marks a significant shift in how border security is handled at the state level.

Every state should have the same thing so they can police these illegals. I’m glad the court saw that it was needed.
