January 1, Socialist Mamdani DEMANDS Maine Senate Candidate Drop Out — Democrat Civil War Explodes

Wyatt’s Take

  • Bernie Sanders and his far-left ally are strong-arming a Maine Democrat to quit the Senate race — so much for ‘democracy’
  • Democratic Socialists of America want total control of who runs, proving their hypocritical power grab knows no bounds
  • The radical left is eating its own while Middle America watches their authoritarian tactics backfire spectacularly

The Democrats’ phony ‘big tent’ is collapsing right before our eyes. Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders and his radical protégé Zohran Mamdani are publicly bullying Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner to drop out of the race — all in the name of consolidating far-left power.

That’s right. The same party that screams about ‘voter suppression’ and ‘protecting democracy’ is now strong-arming candidates out of elections before voters even get their say.

Mamdani, a Democratic Socialists of America darling who represents New York, didn’t mince words about his authoritarian demand:

“I believe it’s time for him to drop out of the race.”

No explanation of why voters shouldn’t decide. No pretense of democratic principles. Just raw socialist power plays dressed up as ‘unity.’

Sanders, who’s spent decades pretending to be an independent while caucusing with Democrats and collecting their committee assignments, is backing Mamdani’s pressure campaign. The Vermont socialist wants to clear the field for his preferred candidate — another far-left radical who’ll rubber-stamp the Green New Deal and Medicare for All fantasies that would bankrupt hardworking Americans.

This is the same Bernie Sanders who complained the DNC ‘rigged’ primaries against him in 2016 and 2020. Now he’s doing the rigging himself, trying to rig Maine’s Senate race before it even starts.

The irony is thicker than maple syrup at a Vermont pancake breakfast.

Platner, for his part, hasn’t taken the bait. He’s staying in the race despite the socialist pressure campaign, showing more backbone than most Democrats manage when the radical wing comes calling. Maine voters deserve the chance to pick their own candidate without Brooklyn socialists and Washington insiders telling them who’s acceptable.

This whole episode exposes the Democratic Party’s ugly power structure. When they talk about ‘saving democracy,’ what they really mean is ‘let us pick your candidates for you.’ When they talk about ‘voter choice,’ they mean ‘choice between our approved options only.’

The Democratic Socialists of America have been working overtime to take control of the Democratic Party from within. They’ve already installed squad members in Congress who support defunding police, opening borders, and bankrupting America with socialist pipe dreams. Now they want to handpick Senate candidates in states they don’t even represent.

Maine is a independent-minded state that doesn’t appreciate New York socialists and Washington career politicians telling them how to vote. Mamdani representing a gentrified Queens district has about as much business dictating Maine politics as a lobster has running a cattle ranch.

But that’s how the left operates now — centralized control, top-down mandates, and absolute intolerance for anyone who doesn’t fall in line with their radical agenda.

The Democrat civil war is heating up, and Americans are watching socialists try to purge anyone who isn’t radical enough for their taste. They’ll preach about inclusion and democracy on TV while privately strong-arming candidates and rigging races behind closed doors.

Why It Matters

When politicians start telling voters who they’re allowed to choose before elections even happen, that’s not democracy — that’s authoritarianism with a progressive veneer. Hardworking Americans in Maine and across the country deserve better than socialist power brokers in Washington and New York deciding their elections for them. This is exactly why folks outside the coastal elite bubbles are fed up with the Democratic Party’s hypocritical games.

“Call -for”, Demand”, ! can’t make him quit. He won the primary, with 75%. If only there were some clue, that he was a bad guy.
