January 1, Trump Slams Biden EV Rules as New Cars Drop $1,300

Wyatt’s Take
- Trump administration scraps Biden’s electric vehicle mandates and gives American drivers real relief at the dealership.
- Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says the new rules will save families $138 billion over five years by keeping gas-powered cars affordable.
- Working families win as the government stops forcing expensive electric vehicles nobody asked for.
The Trump administration ended Biden-era fuel economy rules Monday that were designed to push automakers into electric vehicles. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the change and said the department expects the average price of a new car to drop by $1,300.
The move is projected to save Americans $138 billion over five years. It also gives drivers more choice instead of government-mandated electric vehicles that cost far more upfront.
“Thanks to President Trump, we’re putting American families first again and rejecting the radical climate agenda that was driving up prices,” Duffy said.
The previous rules had required automakers to meet steep efficiency targets that critics said were impossible without shifting heavily to electric vehicles. Those targets raised production costs that were passed on to buyers at the dealership.
By rolling back the mandates, the Trump administration is restoring consumer choice and keeping affordable gas-powered vehicles on the lot. The change directly addresses the concerns of working-class Americans who rely on trucks and SUVs for work and family life.
Wyatt Matters
Hardworking families in the heartland deserve vehicles they can afford without government forcing expensive technology on them. This decision puts real money back in the pockets of everyday Americans who need reliable transportation for work and raising their families.

Go ahead and buy an electric vehicle. When the time comes for you to replace the batteries it will cost from 8 to 10 thousand dollars to replace them, not to mention the poison that goes back into the earth upon disposal of the old batteries. Biden was by far the worst president in the history of America and Obama comes in at number two. He destroyed the auto industry. Socialism is just a front for communism and that’s what the democrats want. They want to destroy capitalism so when you are standing in line for bread and cheese remember, you have no one to blame but yourselves. Lazy kids who don’t want to work and sit around and collect government money and they have all been indoctrinated to believe this can all happen, they are taught to not think for themselves because if they do, they can’t be controlled by the communist government. Enjoy communism all you idiots!
