January 1, Senator Uncovers Alarming Oversight in Child Welfare Reports

Hey folks, let me tell you what’s going on with our government and these poor kids. Senator Chuck Grassley from Iowa is looking out for us and just uncovered something big. The Biden administration didn’t pay attention to over 65,000 reports about unaccompanied migrant children. That’s a huge number! And nearly 7,000 of those reports were about suspicious human trafficking.

Now, since President Trump took office, his team has been fixing this mess. They’ve already worked through a bunch of these cases and made lots of arrests. Grassley made this clear and thanked the Trump administration for stepping up to help these kids.

A while back, even the folks at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) admitted they had ignored a lot of these reports. It was a massive backlog, and each ignored report was like ignoring a cry for help from a child.

Can you believe it? During President Biden’s time, about 500,000 children came into the U.S. Many were sent to live with strangers because Biden made it easier for sponsors to avoid background checks. That’s just not safe. And to make it worse, about 85,000 children got lost after that.

Grassley is trying to get to the bottom of this by asking HHS for answers. He’s determined to find out how bad this issue of child trafficking and exploitation really is. But he says HHS hasn’t been very helpful. They’ve ignored his requests for information.

Folks, it’s important we stay aware of what’s going on here. These are kids we’re talking about, and we need to make sure they’re safe. Thank goodness for leaders like Senator Grassley and President Trump who are taking action.
