Music star Billie Eilish made waves at the Grammy Awards by blasting the idea of borders in America. During her speech, she said,
“As grateful as I feel, I honestly don’t feel like I need to say anything, but, that no one is illegal on stolen land.”
She continued by adding,
“It’s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now. And I just I feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting, and our voices really do matter, and the people matter.”
She finished by declaring,
“F-ck ICE.”
Eilish made it sound like borders and rules about who can enter are wrong. But behind closed doors, she acts very differently when it comes to her own house. In 2023, Eilish got a restraining order against a man named Shawn Christopher McIntyre. The man sent violent threats and disturbing messages to her and her family, showing up at her gate and scaring them.
According to reports, Eilish “suffered substantial anxiety, fear and emotional distress over her personal safety and the safety of her family and friends.” She saw the stalker “sitting down in front of the gate of my residence.”
When trouble came to her own door, she didn’t talk about the history of property or stolen land. She didn’t argue boundaries were wrong. Instead, she called on the law to make sure certain people weren’t allowed near her home, which meant setting real, enforced borders.
The law agreed, and the stalker was kept away. When her own safety was at risk, borders went from being “illegal” to absolutely necessary. Onstage, she cried against enforcement, but in real life, she embraced it when it mattered most to her.
This exposes plain hypocrisy. Eilish’s speech at the Grammys may have sounded nice, but her own deeds prove she believes in lines and rules when it comes to her own front gate.
Middle America deserves leaders and voices who don’t just talk a big game but actually practice what they preach. Working folks know you need boundaries to keep your family safe, no matter what celebrities say from a stage.

Thank you Wyatt and you are so right. Hollywood elites walk around with a full security outfit. Yet, they expect us to be vulnerable to attacks from unvetted people including criminals that came across our border during the Biden Administration. Thank God and Jesus for Trump protecting everyday Americans who love our country dearly.
