The United States Senate packed up and left Washington for their August recess this week, ignoring President Trump’s direct call to pass critical election security legislation before they went on vacation.
Senators pulled an all-nighter to confirm U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche — showing they can work around the clock when they want to. But when it came to the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act, the bill Trump specifically urged them to pass, they couldn’t be bothered.
The Senate cannot leave DC without a vote on election integrity.

The SAVE Act would require proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. Common sense stuff that most Americans assume is already the law.
But instead of securing our elections from non-citizen voting, the Senate chose their beach houses and fundraising dinners. They confirmed Trump’s AG pick, then hit the road.
It’s a familiar pattern in Washington: work all night for what the establishment wants, then claim there’s no time for what the American people need. Trump made his priorities clear. The Senate made theirs clear too.
Now voters will remember who showed up for election integrity and who headed for the exit when it mattered most.
Why It Matters
This isn’t about complicated policy — it’s about whether your vote counts as much as it should. When Congress puts their vacation ahead of making sure only citizens vote in our elections, that tells you everything about who they’re really working for. And it isn’t us.

Everyone needs time to rest & want to take vacations, but if my boss had told me I had to stay, I would have stayed. The main reason for me would be that I didn’t want to lose my job. I remember one Christmas she called & told me I had to go in & relieve folks for meal breaks & though I wasn’t happy I went. I want to remember who walked out on this.

So the Republicans obviously don’t care what 80+% of the country (Republicans, Democrats and Independents) are for?
Why isit so difficult to vote for Voter ID to prove you are an American citizen? You have to show ID to get a credit card, bank account, online service, get into events (concerts, fights, football games etc.) If you vote against it you must have some alternative reason….like funding from Soros, China or under the table $$$. I cannot fathom any other reason. So skip the drama and the stalling. I don’t care what party you are with, every Senator and Representative should be for this unless you are a
Socialist or Communist and want to destroy our great nation!!

Every single member of congress that chose to go vacation instead of protecting our country needs to be out of a job when they get back. No more salary, no mention, nothing. They work for us, period. We voted them in, we can vote them out. We the people are pissed off. We deserve better from the ones that are suppose to work fo us. Fire them all and replace them with farmers, construction workers, etc. People that know how it feels to be screwed by our so called representatives. One more thing. There is nothing one employee in this country that can vote to give themselves a raise. So how do these people get to decide when and how much of a raise they get? Again, they work for us, supposedly. I propose a wage freeze and asbestos even a drop in pay for every member that does not comply with 80% of the American people.

The only reason Trump wants that so bad is because he knows he is not going to do very well in the midterms and there is a very good possibility that the democrats will get the house and he wants to do anything he can so that won’t happen. He keeps saying that if they win he will be impeached. I have seen a mention of it that happens they will make him pay for all the damage he has done to America and the White House and mange the impeachment. He is a cheat, criminal, peddle, realist and anything else that he learned from his father.

You are the poster girls as to why our founding father did not want women to vote! You live your life emotionally and vote EMOTIONALLY and leave facts to those who pay attention, which obviously you care nothing about. There are libraries and book stores full of books and articles on the emotions and self help and nothing seems to help you deal with reality. When Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot and other communist tyrants wanted to take control of their people, they went after the women first. They used, yes, their emotions against them and they fell for it every time. They turned in their families and friends dutifully and it destroyed their societies. They were called ‘Useful idiots’. The President can call the Senate back into session under Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, which grants the authority to “convene both Houses, or either of them” on “extraordinary occasions.” This power allows the President to summon the Senate during an adjournment or recess to address urgent national matters.
He told them he anted a vote and they owe a vote! That way the Citizenry can SEE who will not back what a majority of voters want and THAT IS THE SAVE ACT. This has bipartisan support of over 80% combined. The PEOPLE need to see who will not vote for election integrity and they will want to know why someone would not vote to pass this measure. The President should make them come back and vote. That way when they go out of session again, he can provide pressure to the appropriate States and let the constituents know that their Senator is not doing what they want. Oh and while they are out of session, the President should go ahead and make his recess appointments for all the people he wanted in a job for the last almost two years.

The goddam US congress cares less about ordinary citizens.GOD DAMN those traitors in congress who refuse to vote for voter integrity….this just shows the integrity of those sitting in Congress is in the toilet waiting for a flush. If congress had credibility, there would be a vote to stop anchor babies, birthright citizenship, etc. I vote Republican, but I am leaning toward favoring a wealth tax so ordinary citizens have a voice in Congress also.

Our Republican Party are our worst enemies. At least with Nancy Pelosi she had the balls to do whatever it took to get her commie party to vote the way she wanted. Republicans are cowards. They have become the very people who will see a woman (America) being rapped (by the democrats) and stand by and do nothing. They see American families being torn apart and do nothing for fear of being called racist by actual racists. They see our economy being fleeced by interlopers and do nothing but hold hearing, they get the facts, they find the criminals to be charged, yet do nothing! They are afraid of their own shadows.
