Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke about possible U.S. military action as Iran faces mounting street protests. Israel is on high alert as leaders weigh what comes next if Iran’s unrest keeps spreading.

Demonstrations in Iran have hit their second week, with reports of the government shutting down internet access to hide what’s happening. One cybersecurity expert called it a “kill switch” as normal internet service dropped drastically.

Iran’s parliament speaker threatened that America and Israel would be “legitimate targets” if the U.S. strikes back. Lawmakers chanted “Death to America!” in response to American criticism.

President Trump posted on Truth Social, “Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help!!!”

In a news conference, Trump said, “Iran’s in big trouble… the people are taking over certain cities that nobody thought were really possible just a few weeks ago. We’re watching the situation very carefully.” He warned that if Iran’s leaders crack down hard, “We’ll be hitting them very hard where it hurts. And that doesn’t mean boots on the ground, but it means hitting them very, very hard where it hurts.”

The protests in Iran have now lasted 12 days and show no sign of stopping.
