January 1, Las Vegas Rapper Drops Clues in Music Video, Gets Arrested

In an astonishing twist of events, a Nevada-based rapper might have sung his way directly into police custody. Kenjuan McDaniel, a 25-year-old artist, allegedly included in his lyrics specific details of a 2021 crime, details so precise that they hadn’t been publicly disclosed, catching the attention of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
One particular lyric from McDaniel’s track “Fadee Free” made authorities sit up and take notice: “I be the reason why he’s dead, we still taunt him when he die, not the reason he’s dead, so celebrate the reason why his momma cry,” a warrant obtained by KVUU reported.
The song doesn’t stop there. Another line draws a haunting image, potentially linked to the tragic incident where a man met his end in his apartment following an apparent disagreement: “Parked the car, double back on feet, the smartest way to slide, drove in, double lock yo man, make sure you get yo bod’.”

The video showcases McDaniel and his associates undergoing terrifying transformations into skeletal, demonic figures.
What’s more chilling is that the rapper’s actions in the video were eerily “consistent with evidence at the scene,” according to the police.
What’s worth noting is that the police were clear in asserting that their investigation wasn’t solely based on the video.
“The facts gathered during the investigation were obtained separately from the music video,” they stated, emphasizing that the clip “further validated the results of the investigation.”
By mid-July, McDaniel’s video had already made its way to YouTube, and it didn’t take long for a detective to come across it. The similarities between the crime and the contents of the video were undeniable.
As the warrant highlighted, “Details provided by Kenjuan in his music video were not released to the public and would not be common knowledge.”
McDaniel reportedly appeared in court this past Thursday.
