Wyatt’s Take

  • Eric Swalwell is facing fresh scrutiny over past social media behavior.
  • Reports claim he used Snapchat to send unsolicited explicit photos to women.
  • Journalists who once praised his online savvy are now reacting to the allegations.

Former Congressman Eric Swalwell has hit a new low amid fresh reports about his conduct. Once praised for his tech savvy, he is now facing serious sexual misconduct allegations.

Reports indicate he used Snapchat to send unsolicited nude photos to women he met through his job. That is the kind of behavior people expect from politicians who think they are above the rules.

Swalwell has denied the criminal charges but admitted to acting inappropriately during his marriage. He once bragged about teaching other members of Congress how to use the disappearing message app.

Taylor Lorenz, who wrote a glowing review of Swalwell back in 2016, said she is horrified by the new reports.

“I’m horrified and disgusted by the stories coming out about his behavior.”

The disgrace marks a sharp fall for the man who spent years lecturing Americans about morality and law. His career looks increasingly damaged as the allegations continue to spread.

Wyatt Matters

Middle America is tired of seeing powerful people abuse their status and then expect a pass. Our leaders should be focused on jobs, inflation, and basic decency.

Didn’t want him as a Congressman prior to this mess coming out and still don’t want him. Was still acting like a pubescent male.

I said once and I’ll say it again. What is it with democrats, they want saints to walk the halls of Congress, yet keep voting for sinners

You wait, at some point the media (democrats) will start the process of making him out to be ‘just troubled’. He’ll go into some kind of rehab, and then become the victim of the system and conservatives will be blamed.

Steve is right. The GOP and President Trump will be blamed. Smalwell has always been bad and the democrats knew about the Chinese spy Fang but did nothing He lied about the Russia Russia thing and so much more
