January 1, Iran Claims MASSIVE Strike on U.S. Navy — Pentagon Response Stuns Everyone

Wyatt’s Take
- Iran publicly boasted they struck a U.S. warship in the Strait of Hormuz — Pentagon says it’s completely false
- Two American-flagged ships passed through the critical waterway without incident, proving Iran’s propaganda machine is working overtime
- This is what happens when adversaries smell weakness — they test us with lies and bluster
The Pentagon has come out swinging against Iran’s latest round of propaganda, flatly denying Tehran’s claim that it successfully struck a U.S. military vessel near the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. Central Command made it crystal clear: two American-flagged ships sailed through that strategic chokepoint without so much as a scratch.
Iran’s regime wants the world to believe they landed a blow against American naval power. The reality? It’s a complete fabrication designed to pump up their domestic audience and project strength they simply don’t have.
CENTCOM’s swift pushback sends an unmistakable message: we’re not letting Tehran’s lies go unchallenged. Our ships are operating freely in international waters, and no amount of Iranian bluster will change that fact.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most critical shipping lanes on the planet, with roughly a fifth of global oil passing through those narrow waters. Iran knows this, which is why they constantly try to intimidate and spread disinformation about their capabilities in the region.
But here’s what matters: American naval forces continue their mission uninterrupted. Our sailors are professionals, our ships are equipped to handle threats, and our military isn’t about to be pushed around by a regime that relies more on propaganda than actual military prowess.
The timing of Iran’s false claim is no accident. Authoritarian regimes always ramp up their rhetoric when they’re feeling pressure at home or abroad. They need external enemies to distract from internal failures.
CENTCOM’s decisive statement reinforces what every American should already know: our military doesn’t play games with the facts. When Iran makes wild claims, we call them out immediately and publicly.
Wyatt Matters
This is exactly why we need strength and clarity from our military leadership. When adversaries lie, we counter with truth. When they test our resolve, we demonstrate American power isn’t up for debate. Our Navy keeps global commerce flowing and our national interests protected — no matter what fairy tales Tehran tries to sell to the world.
