January 1, EPA Overhaul Targets Costly Environmental Justice Programs

Folks, here’s something important coming from the EPA under President Trump’s leadership. The Environmental Protection Agency, led by Lee Zeldin, is making some big changes to clean up the mess left by the Biden administration. The EPA just told 280 people they won’t be working there anymore, and 175 others are moving to different jobs. Many of these folks worked on so-called “environmental justice” and diversity programs. But the current administration believes these programs wasted around $20 billion of your hard-earned tax money.

Administrator Zeldin is all about cutting waste and taking care of our dollars. On social media, he said he won’t let anyone waste taxpayer money, calling some past spending a $20 billion “Green Slush Fund.”

In a recent press conference, Zeldin talked about getting people back to work in the office. During COVID, too many folks worked from home, he said. Now, he wants more people back in to help make smarter decisions. Right now, attendance in the office is really low, and Zeldin thinks it’s time to change that.

The EPA has already saved $18 million by using office space more wisely in Washington, D.C. That’s money back in the pockets of taxpayers like you!

Zeldin is also tackling a big problem with sewage flowing from Mexico into California. He checked out a plant in San Diego County that’s working to clean things up. Zeldin says fixing this issue needs help from Mexico, too. He’s talking to Mexican officials to come up with a plan that works for both countries.
