January 1, Caitlyn Jenner Announces Run for Governor of California

Should California Gov. Gavin Newsom be nervous? There’s a growing list of candidates who want to replace him should there be a recall election and celebrity Caitlyn Jenner is one of them. She seems serious about it as it was reported that she has already filed the initial paperwork. These celebrities really want to try politics, huh?

Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz is in a deeper trouble. Now, federal authorities are checking into whether his 2018 trip to the Bahamas that allegedly involved several young women had some weeds involved, according to a CNN report. He’s being investigated whether he engaged in a sexual relationship with a girl that started when she’s a minor.

People in Israel are partying like there’s no pandemic. Why? Most of the country’s adults have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. It just lifted its outdoor mask requirements this week, resuming normal lives for most Israelis. Here’s hoping the US and other countries can experience the same soon.

We all know that restaurants were affected by the pandemic. They have to think of ways on how to stay in the business but still follow safety guidelines. The Big Sur restaurant in California is now featuring tabletop mini-purifiers, HEPA air purifiers, an upgraded heating and air conditioning system. There are also sensors that measure the air quality in real time.

Hiring managers reported that they’ve been having hard time hiring staff. Even McDonald’s is desperate for staff that it has to offer applicants $50 just to appear for a job interview. You think money could do the trick? Nope, the McDonald’s location was still reportedly having trouble finding workers.

A bit of good news. There will be a new Captain America movie. The head writer of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will write the screenplay. Is there going to be a new Captain America? They aged Chris Evans in the Avengers: Endgame movie and Anthony Mackie accepted his shield, so…
