Biden removes all public appearances from schedule after ill-received ABC interview
President Joe Biden removed all public remarks, press briefings, and press conferences from his schedule as he deals with the backlash from the botched withdrawal of US troops.
The move follows the president’s poorly received interview with ABC News on Wednesday evening, where he stood by his controversial decision.
Besides the ABC News interview, the commander-in-chief has not taken any questions from the press.
Biden’s decision to forgo media appearances coincides with Vice President Harris’ trip to Vietnam. The situation in Afghanistan has been compared to the 1975 fall of Saigon.
