January 1, Canada Takes Out Ads in 12 States to Challenge Trump’s Tariffs

Hey folks,
Guess what? Canada is putting up big signs all over America, trying to complain about President Trump’s tariffs. They’re saying “Tariffs are a tax.” They started this after President Trump talked tough about putting 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico back in February.
A Canadian guy from Global Affairs, John Babcock, said these billboards are meant to “teach” us Americans about tariffs. He claims that tariffs make things like gas and groceries more expensive for regular folks. But we know President Trump is just looking out for us!
Last month, President Trump told Canada they’re getting a 25% tariff on their stuff, except for some special deals under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Canada is lucky because their energy stuff only got a 10% tariff.
And just last week, in a big Rose Garden event he called “Liberation Day,” President Trump announced even more tariffs on lots of other countries. He used a smart formula to figure out how much tariff each country gets based on the trade deficit.
Trump stood up for us, saying, “Taxpayers have been ripped off for more than 50 years.” But he’s putting a stop to that now!
Canada’s Prime Minister, Mark Carney, isn’t happy. He’s saying these tariffs aren’t fair and will hurt trade between the U.S. and Canada. But don’t worry, Trump is protecting American jobs and businesses!
Canada says they’ll fight back to protect their own workers. But at the end of the day, President Trump is making sure America is strong and not taken advantage of anymore.
Stay informed and keep supporting policies that protect America!
Wyatt Matters!
President Trump’s tariffs on Canada and other countries are a good way to make sure America is being treated fairly. These tariffs help protect American jobs and businesses by making sure other countries are not taking advantage of us. For many years, American taxpayers have not been getting a fair deal, but now things are changing. By using a smart system to decide how much tariff each country should get, President Trump is standing up for the United States and making sure we are in a strong position.
While some people, like Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney, are upset about the tariffs, it’s important to remember that our leaders are doing what they believe is best for our country. Canada may feel these tariffs are unfair, but President Trump believes they are necessary to stop America from being ripped off. These tariffs show America is being firm and protecting its own interests.
It’s also important to understand what tariffs mean for us as regular folks. Tariffs might make some things more expensive, like gas and groceries, but in the long run, they aim to boost American industries and create more jobs. Supporting these policies helps America stay strong and competitive. By standing together, we can ensure that America is not taken advantage of and remains a powerful and prosperous country.

From the American point of view, if tarrifs are so debilitating to the united states, what are they doing to Canada and the rest of the world? Drop yours, we’ll drop ours. Oh, and start paying your share with respect to NAFTA, national defense, and border security while you’re at it.

With me being a British citizen, I believe that President Trump is doing the right thing with the tariffs, Canada says it a tax on the Americans citizens, but it seems they have missed the mark by a mile, if you actually turn this around, doesn’t that say the Canadians are being taxed on US goods if they wish to buy them. Before I retired I run a business that imported decorative metal stampings, the duty I was forced to pay before I could get them released from the customs, also I paid taxes in the USA and in the UK as well, the products where only AV from the USA, they went out of business and China bought the tooling, they started producing the same products, but they were total rubbish, this made me close the production down and I retired!
The fact President Trump as placed a 10% tariff on the UK, because with Starmer free speech is under attack, so I back President Trump 200%. The old saying ‘ what’s good for the Goose is good for the Gander’comes to mind. USA please “Keep up the pressure” on both the EU and the UK!

Donald Trump is Putin 10x. How do we allow a president to world so much power to crash world markets? Will it be just as easy for him to start a nuclear war? He is destroying us

Rubbish! The USA has as much right to put tariffs on imports like the rest of the word does to their good, it’s time to pay the Piper, it might hurt but get use to it, the rest of the world have the option to remove their tariffs, then the USA will remove their tariffs, it’s very simple really!!!

You clearly know zero about economics 101. Just bow down to other countries that charge us more to buy their products? Get a clue man.

Give and get. What you do comes back to bite you. We have troops in many countries to help protect them but the charge us for that. Go figure.

Wow. Thick heads up there!!! Take your tariffs and taxes off and we will also. Pretty simple really. Make it as profitable for us as it is for you to sell in each others countries. LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD!!!
