Wyatt’s Take

  • Ted Cruz says Marjorie Taylor Greene is pushing liberal ideas.
  • He calls out her views on Israel and big government spending.
  • Greene keeps criticizing House Speaker Johnson’s plans.

Senator Ted Cruz thinks fellow Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene is drifting to the left, especially about Israel and government spending.

“That is not where the American people are,” Cruz said.

On CNBC, Cruz argued people shouldn’t “spend much time worrying about what Marjorie is saying.” He believes when politicians turn on Israel, they start supporting bigger government, higher taxes, and looser borders.

“And so suddenly Marjorie is for massive government spending and taxes and open borders and amnesty,” he added.

“Okay, fine,” Cruz said. “That is not where the American people are. Where the American people are is real simple. We’re on Day 29 of the stupidest shutdown.”

Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno recently urged Greene to offer solutions instead of just criticizing Speaker Mike Johnson.

“If this is something she’s passionate about, put pen to paper, write a bill, present an option,” Moreno said.

Greene recently pressed for answers on the Republican plan for healthcare, questioning why no clear proposals were presented.

“Johnson said he’s got ideas and pages of policy ideas and committees of jurisdiction are working on it, but he refused to give one policy proposal to our GOP conference on our own conference call. Apparently I have to go into a SCIF to find out the Republican healthcare plan!!!” Greene posted on X.

She previously labeled the situation in Gaza as a “genocide.”
