Wyatt’s Take

  • The Supreme Court is weighing in on whether transgender athletes can join girls’ school teams.
  • Justice Alito asked tough questions about what defines a woman or girl in sports law.
  • State bans and national leaders are deeply divided over the issue of sports fairness.

The Supreme Court heard arguments about whether state laws can keep transgender girls and women from competing on female school teams. This is the first time the high court is taking on this hot-button issue that’s stirring up lawmakers and the public.

The Biden administration says it will enforce Title IX according to biological sex, making the rules around school sports even more important. West Virginia’s attorney general called out a case involving a transgender athlete, but the athlete’s lawyer wouldn’t answer questions about related claims.

Justice Samuel Alito pressed the athlete’s lawyer on how laws should define “woman” and “girl,” pushing for clarity on who should play on which teams. Many legal experts and sports figures filed opinions on both sides, showing just how split the country is on this matter.

Sports stars and politicians are weighing in, and over 70 legal briefs were submitted to the court. This decision could reshape school sports rules for everyone in the heartland and across the nation.

Keep an eye on this case—it could change what fairness means in women’s sports for years to come.

How is this even questioned? A female is born a female. A male is born a male. It’s very simple and easy! God created male and female. He did not create male thinks he is female! So stupid that this is at the level of the Supreme court.
