  • Hasan Piker is backing Janet Mills in Maine’s Senate primary over Graham Platner.
  • Platner is facing criticism over a tattoo that appears to resemble a Nazi symbol.
  • Piker also mocked Platner’s military service while defending his preferred candidate.

Far-left streamer Hasan Piker is backing Janet Mills for the Senate over a primary challenger with a controversial tattoo.

Piker says he is siding with the establishment Democrat because the alternative has not properly renounced his military service.

The Senate primary in Maine has become a battleground for the most extreme elements of the modern left.

Former Marine Graham Platner faces criticism for a tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol despite receiving an endorsement from Bernie Sanders.

Piker dismissed Platner by reading viewer comments that attacked his time in the military and his ink.

The streamer suggested that military veterans should not be given positions of power without a second chance.

“He hasn’t properly renounced his [military] service. He hasn’t condemned Blackwater. He has Nazi ink,” Piker read.

“I mean, that’s why I feel like a lot of people don’t have any argument to when I say, yeah, that’s why I’m a Mills mafia.”

Piker has faced heavy fire for promoting antisemitic tropes and even wishing the United States had lost the Cold War.

He was also caught on video allegedly using a shock collar to control his dog during a live broadcast.

Governor Mills has her own record of radicalism, notably fighting President Trump’s efforts to keep biological men out of women’s sports.

This primary shows the Democratic party is choosing between establishment radicals and those with even darker associations.
