Wyatt’s Take

  • U.S. Navy submarine sends Iranian prize ship to the bottom with one torpedo.
  • First enemy vessel sunk this way since World War II as Iran’s navy crumbles.
  • Strike takes out plotter behind Trump assassination attempt.

America’s submarine delivered a quiet death to the IRIS Shahid Soleimani in the Indian Ocean. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth called it Iran’s jewel now resting with over 20 other vessels at the bottom of the Persian Gulf.

This marks the first torpedo sinking of an enemy ship since World War II.

“Yesterday, in the Indian Ocean, … an American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters,” Hegseth explained. “Instead it was sunk by a torpedo. Quiet death.”

“The first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War II,” he continued. “Like in that war, back when we were still the War Department, we are fighting to win.”

The hit happened 40 nautical miles off Sri Lanka, with 87 Iranian bodies recovered and 32 survivors from 180 aboard. General Caine says Iran’s navy is now combat ineffective.

President Trump’s Department of War also eliminated the Iranian covert leader who masterminded a 2024 plot to assassinate him after threats on state TV.

It’s part of crushing Iran’s military and nuclear threats alongside Israel.

Stand strong for real American power that keeps our families safe.
