Most Americans Disapprove of Biden’s Economic Leadership
Most Americans disapprove of President Joe Biden’s handling of the economy, according to a new poll.
Sixty-five percent of participants in the AP-NORC poll said they disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy. Of that group, 96% were Republicans and 36% were Democrats.
When asked about the cause of high gas prices, 55% of respondents blame factors outside of Biden’s control, and 44% said Biden’s policies are to blame.
But 48% Americans think Biden’s policies are doing more harm than good to the economy, with just 24% saying his policies are helping the economy more than hurting it.
Another thing that the majority of Americans agree on: we are worried about rising prices.
Overall, 68% of Americans polled say they’re concerned about gas prices, while 59% said they’re worried about the cost of groceries.
The poll surveyed 1,082 adults through March 17-21 using a sample drawn from NORC’s probability-based AmeriSpeak Panel — designed to be representative of the U.S. population. The margin of sampling error for all respondents is plus or minus 4.0 percentage points.
