  • Another Kennedy steps toward New York politics
  • Jack Schlossberg sets sights on Nadler’s old seat
  • Race heats up with family drama and name recognition

Jack Schlossberg, the only grandson of President John F. Kennedy, is exploring a run for Congress in New York City. The announcement comes as Jerry Nadler is preparing to retire, leaving his seat up for grabs.

On Sunday, Schlossberg shared on X that he has launched an exploratory committee. That makes it clear he’s serious about making a move from political legacy to political contender.

Best known for his sharp online attacks, Schlossberg has even gone after his own family.

“RFK LOSER is choking so badly LIVE,”

he posted about his cousin, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., during a heated congressional hearing.

He followed up with another pointed message:

“There’s only one Kennedy family — MINE !!”

right before the testimony started.

Other Democrats, including Assemblyman Micah Lasher and non-profit leader Liam Elkind, have also jumped into the race. It’s shaping up to be a crowded field with no clear favorite yet.

Will the Kennedy name still matter in New York, or are voters looking for a new direction? Let us know what you think.
