Wyatt’s Take

  • ICE is still arresting dangerous illegal migrants, even as the government is shut down.
  • Recent arrests include criminals convicted of kidnapping, sexual assault, and drug crimes.
  • DHS says nothing will stop them from protecting American communities.

ICE agents are continuing their work to take dangerous illegal migrants off America’s streets, even while the government is partially shut down.

Among the latest arrests: a Cuban in Florida convicted of sexual acts on a minor, a Mexican in Illinois found guilty of aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping, and another in Tennessee for sexual assault.

Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said,

“Nothing—not even the Democrats’ government shutdown—will slow us down from arresting the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens. Yesterday, the brave men and women of ICE arrested pedophiles, rapists, and kidnappers. These are the types of predators ICE is taking off of America’s streets every single day. DHS will stop at nothing to make America safe again and remove these violent illegal offenders from our streets.”

Other migrants taken in include Adan Martinez-Gonzalez, a Mexican convicted of aggravated kidnapping in Texas, and Nicanor Hernandez-Gutierrez, who had over five kilograms of cocaine and was caught by ICE.

The arrests keep coming, even though the government has been shut down since October 1 after Senate funding talks fell through.

Hardworking folks deserve to know that law enforcement is still protecting neighborhoods, even when Washington stalls. Share this with people who care about safety in their hometowns.
