Husband futilely trying to rescue wife stranded in Afghanistan: ‘I feel betrayed’

On Tuesday, an American woman stranded in Afghanistan issued a plea to President Joe Biden, imploring him to help her back home.

The mother of two detailed her dire circumstances in an interview with Fox News under the alias “Fatima.”

“We are in danger. We are in danger Mr. President, please help us,” Fatima said.

The Biden administration said that Americans seeking evacuation only need to get themselves to the airport in Kabul.

“We can’t get to the airport. When we try to get to the airport, we get beaten up or we are afraid for our lives,” she said.

Fatima’s husband, Mohammad, confirmed the devastating situation.

“How should I feel if I call our embassy, call our State Department, all they say is we’re going to escalate the matter. Where will you escalate the matter? They’re going to shoot my wife,” he said.

“Should I trust these folks? Should I trust Biden? No. I’m not stupid. I feel betrayed,” he added. “I’m extremely worried about my wife.”

If this is the man I think it is, he was interviewed and during his interview he said they had a choice and did not have to go to Afghanistan. His wife went and he was going but for some reason got held up, not remembering why, but he was detained in leaving the US. Maybe he should not have sent his wife to Afghanistan without him going with her. Sorry for his circumstances, but he did have a choice. I hope we can get him home.
