January 1, Governor Booed at Uvalde Memorial [Video]
Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) was met with some boos upon arriving at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde for a memorial to the 21 victims of the recent deadly shooting.
Videos show the crowd boo the governor as he approached the memorial.
“Please, Gov. Abbott, help Uvalde county,” one person shouted. “We need change! We need change, governor!”
That same day, President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden also visited Uvalde. They attended Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where someone shouted “Do something!” as the Bidens left the service.
“We will,” the president responded.
