  • The Biden administration is accused of using the TSA to target Americans for their political views.
  • Officials allegedly added passengers to watch lists for opposing mask mandates or January 6 links.
  • Kristi Noem is sending these findings to the Justice Department for investigation.

The Department of Homeland Security announced an investigation found widespread abuse by the Biden-era TSA, accusing officials of targeting Americans based on their beliefs.

TSA Acting Administrator Ha Nguyen McNeill revealed people were denied boarding and watch-listed for not following mask mandates—months after the rules changed.

The TSA statement claimed January 6 was used as a reason to go after dozens of citizens without evidence of wrongdoing.

This campaign lasted through June 2021, long after any threat to airplane security was gone.

“The Biden-era TSA’s actions demonstrate clear political bias. For example, these officials chose NOT to flag individuals who attacked law enforcement, burned down cities, and destroyed property during the widespread and violent George Floyd protests in 2020.”

Concerns about privacy violations and targeting were raised inside TSA, but leaders ignored them.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said, “Biden’s TSA wildly abused their authority, targeting Americans who posed no aviation security risk under the banner of political differences. President Trump promised to end the weaponization of government against the American people, and we are making good on that promise. I am referring this case to the Department of Justice and for Congressional investigation.”

Noem has ordered the removal of five senior TSA and DHS leaders, citing a betrayal of public trust, and called for a full overhaul of TSA’s watch-listing oversight.

The TSA admitted it has legal powers to ban travelers and put them under surveillance, but said those caught up in this program were not a real threat.

Sen. Rand Paul released a report exposing how Biden’s TSA changed watchlists into tools for political spying, with at least 24 people listed for protesting mask mandates and many more added after January 6, often without proof they broke the law.

“The wife of a Federal Air Marshal was labeled as a ‘domestic terrorist’ for allegedly entering the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021,” the report said, stating she was closely watched until her name was cleared two years later.

Paul’s report also found dozens of people were blocked from flights or given extra screening based only on TSA research.

Noem noted DHS has ended the Quiet Skies Program, which failed to stop a single attack despite costing taxpayers millions.
