Good morning Middle America, 

You know what they say… if you repeat something enough, even if it’s not true, sooner or later  people might actually start to believe you. That has to be the strategy of Adam Schiff and other House managers who have been presenting their case for impeaching and removing President Trump from office over the last two days. They will continue to do so again today, until their 24 hours are up. That’s the total amount of time each side has to present their case.

Yesterday it was all about driving home the message of doing what’s “right” matters.  

Meanwhile, former New York City Mayor and Trump Lawyer Rudy Giuliani says he has a solid corruption case against Joe and Hunter Biden, and he’s ready to present it. And for some reason most Republicans don’t seem too excited about having the Biden testify. That’s probably because they know it will open up the Senate trial to other witnesses, including Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and former National Security Advisor John Bolton. 

Finally today, we’re carefully watching development related to the Chinese coronavirus, or the Wuhan virus as it’s also known. China seems to be repeating many of the same mistakes the communist party made when the SARS virus killed nearly 1000 people.

Democrats Argue ‘Right Matters’ in Trump Impeachment Trial

(AP) — Democratic House prosecutors made an expansive case Thursday at Donald Trump’s impeachment trial that he abused power like no other president in history, swept up by a “completely bogus” Ukraine theory pushed by attorney Rudy Giuliani.

On Friday, the Democrats will press their final day of arguments before skeptical Republican senators, focusing on the second article of impeachment, obstruction of Congress’ investigation.

As the audience of Senate jurors sat through another long day, and night, the prosecutors outlined the charge. They argued that Trump abused power for his own personal political benefit ahead of the 2020 election, even as the nation’s top FBI and national security officials were publicly warning off the theory that it was Ukraine, not Russia, that interfered in the 2016 election.

Rudy Giuliani Threatens to Go Public with Biden Corruption Allegations

(NY Post) – Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney for President Trump, threatened Thursday to go public with information that would expose corruption by 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“Everything I tried to tell the press last March is now coming out, and more. I will now start to reveal the evidence directly to you, the People,” the former New York mayor tweeted. “The Biden Family Enterprise made millions by selling public office. Then when Joe was Obama’s Point Man, they ALL made millions.”

Giuliani’s claim that he could reveal evidence detrimental to the former vice president follows his offer to testify in Trump’s impeachment trial taking place in the Senate.

Texas Health Officials Investigating Coronavirus Case, as Disease Spreads

(Houston Chronicle) – Officials at the Brazos County Health District said Thursday they are investigating a suspected case of the 2019 novel coronavirus.

The male patient, who has been identified as a student at Texas A&M University, had traveled from Wuhan, China, where the coronavirus that has made headlines in recent days first originated, officials said.

Doctors quickly related the patient’s mild symptoms to the novel coronavirus, and the patient is undergoing tests to confirm the suspected diagnosis. The results of those tests will be announced to the public if the patient’s tests come back positive for the virus.
