Wyatt’s Take

  • Costco is selling a massive ten-pound Easter bunny that has shoppers talking.
  • The chocolate treat costs about $112 online and up to $140 in some warehouse stores.
  • Social media reactions range from amused to skeptical over the size, price, and instructions to smash it apart.

Instructions on the box tell families to wrap the chocolate in a towel and use a mallet or rolling pin to break it up.

One shopper said they could not imagine the target audience for the oversized candy.

Some customers have also complained about the taste and the high price tag, while the manufacturer says the product uses fair-trade chocolate and is meant for shared holiday moments.

As Easter gets closer, some warehouses are already marking the item down to clear shelves.

Middle America appreciates value, common sense, and purchases that make sense for real families. A pricey novelty like this can feel disconnected from the priorities of households watching every dollar.

Sick and tired of people thinking they have the right to pass judgement on what someone else chooses to spend their money on. Then the news article is not about the fact that Costco is selling a 10 lb chocolate rabbit but the fact that people are bashing them for buying it.
There are now whole news articles that contain nothing but people’s comments about whether they like the situation or not. Why don’t you just give me the information and I’ll make up my own mind instead of trying to slant my perception based on the political and cultural beliefs of the writer.
