January 1, Chris Cuomo Downplays Non-Citizen Voting Claims

Wyatt’s Take

  • Non-citizens are voting in our elections, despite what was claimed.
  • Chris Cuomo tried to shift the debate, missing the point about law and fairness.
  • Verifying citizenship protects everyone’s vote, no matter the background.

Reports now show some non-citizens are casting ballots in U.S. elections. This is something that used to be dismissed as worry from the Right.

Instead of concern, Chris Cuomo took to social media and wrote:

“Rhetorical question. Headline should read: maga pushes to reduce number of poor and minority voters”

This is the same old story. When Georgia tightened their voting laws, critics shouted about voter suppression. After the laws, more people voted in Georgia, not less.

Cuomo and others claim the focus is about hurting minorities or the poor. But if non-citizen voting is so rare, then checking citizenship shouldn’t impact legal voters. Unless, as pointed out, someone is suggesting those folks aren’t citizens themselves.

Most Americans just want fair elections. Every legal vote counts, and only citizens should pick our leaders. Trying to say otherwise doesn’t connect with common sense values.

Wyatt Matters

Middle America stands for honesty and fairness. Protecting our elections means making sure every legal vote is counted and only citizens have a say. That’s not partisan, it’s just what’s right for all of us.

Chris Cuomo nice to look at but an empty head. Has always had to follow his older bro who is not as nice to look at but has a savvy mind and influence

It doesn’t cost anything to show your ID or vote, so how does it hurt the poor?

Amazing we have to show id’s for every thing. What is so hard to show it to vote.
