January 1, Bye, Nancy! Pelosi Gets the Boot

Published

on

In a move that has left political pundits and insiders reeling, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was suddenly handed an eviction notice for her cherished private Capitol office.

The move was orchestrated by none other than the newly appointed speaker pro-tempore, Patrick McHenry, R-N.C.

McHenry, known as a loyal ally to the recently removed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., made this eviction one of his inaugural actions upon taking office.

This strategic power play has unmistakably signaled a tectonic shift in the inner workings of the House of Representatives.

The notice sent to Pelosi was uncompromising.

Sent via email, it decisively informed her of the office reallocation to the speaker’s designated space. It didn’t mince words, firmly instructing her to vacate by the ensuing day with the stark warning that the office locks would be changed.

Without delay, Pelosi, with the aid of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ team, moved out of the coveted space.

These Capitol hideaways, while traditional for the Senate, are a treasured rarity in the House, available to only a select few.

Pelosi, taken aback, expressed her astonishment.

She stated, “With all of the important decisions that the new Republican Leadership must address, which we are all eagerly awaiting, one of the first actions taken by the new Speaker Pro Tempore was to order me to immediately vacate my office in the Capitol.”

“Sadly, because I am in California to mourn the loss of and pay tribute to my dear friend Dianne Feinstein, I am unable to retrieve my belongings at this time. This eviction is a sharp departure from tradition. As Speaker, I gave former Speaker [Dennis] Hastert a significantly larger suite of offices for as long as he wished.”

She concluded her remarks with a jab, noting, “Now that the new Republican Leadership has settled this important matter, let’s hope they get back to work on what’s truly important for the American people.”

This eviction wasn’t the only drama unfolding in the House.

McCarthy was unceremoniously stripped of his role as House Speaker through a motion to vacate.

Adding to the intrigue, a group of eight House Republicans, led by Florida’s Rep. Matt Gaetz, joined with the Democrats in this bold move.

Pelosi, notably, refrained from casting her vote due to her attendance at Senator Feinstein’s funeral in California.

What ye seweth – ye reapeth ! Hopefully the new speaker will not show un-necessary vehemence , loathe and spitefulness and use his/her power , knowledge and diplomacy toward others Republican Democrat or whichever other parties there be. If indeed there had been any respect at all for the person who was elected President whether Republican or Democrat YOU Madame Pelosi should have learned in the many years that the term DIPLOMACY is as well as the old saying : “YOU CAN ATTRACT MORE BEES WITH HONEY THAN WITH VINEGAR ” ! It is said that charity and pacifism starts at home . As a native of Abruzzi as well as that of your grandparents , I find that you have very little or just maybe no temperament which our forefathers from that part of the world could have hopefully instilled in the nature of politics. (N.B.) DIPLOMACY above all .

Well at least she still has her office sized refrigerator stocked with ice-cream. Perhaps she could empty that and then move in.

Sorry Nancy! You just have to go and the sooner the better! You use to be a kind and welcome part of Washington until we had COVID ! Then it became your idea that just like Obama’s belittling mantra! the laws are for thee, not me! So this is why you’re in the position to stop being a snob! Just stay in California and enjoy what time you have as a Grandma!
