Biden Criticized for Taking Tropical Vacation While US in Crisis
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1845: Texas admitted as the 28th state of the Union.
President Joe Biden is facing criticism for taking a trip to the Caribbean as the U.S. faces multiple crises, including a deadly winter storm and an ongoing emergency at the southern border.
The White House announced on Tuesday that the president and first lady Jill Biden had departed for St. Croix in the Virgin Islands, where they would be vacationing with family through Jan. 2.
As the Bidens left for a tropical vacation, a severe blizzard wreaked havoc in Buffalo, New York, leaving several dozen people dead. Elsewhere, many Americans were left stranded after the weather caused thousands of flights to be cancelled or delayed.
On Monday, Biden said he spoke with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to get an update on the “extreme winter weather hitting New York.”
“We stand ready to make sure they have the resources they need to get through this,” Biden wrote on Twitter. “My heart is with those who lost loved ones this holiday weekend. You are in my and Jill’s prayers.”
But Biden departed for a tropical vacation soon after, sparking criticism.
“Not only is it a vacation, but it’s somewhere warm and beautiful while others are freezing, literally, to death,” Fox News commentator Michele Tafoya said Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, cities near the U.S.-Mexico border braced for the impending end of Title 42 — a Trump-era policy credited with preventing thousands of undocumented migrants from entering the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) tweeted: “Where is @POTUS during this crisis? Vacationing in St. Croix.”
So far, the White House has delayed announcing an alternative proposal for Title 42, as the number of daily crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border continues to spike. It’s unclear when, or if, a plan is coming.
“It’s unlikely we get any kind of new commitment to an immigration policy, a post-Title 42 policy, within the next few days because President Biden is going to be in St Croix,” Fox News’ White House reporter Peter Doocy said during a segment on Tuesday. “He and the rest of the First Family fly down there through the New Year.”
The White House defended Biden’s vacation in a statement to Newsweek.
“No matter where the President is, he is working,” a White House spokesperson told the outlet. “The President will continue to closely monitor updates and will remain in close touch with staff over the New Year.”

When the U.S.A. has major problems or events, it seems that the President doesn’t care and leaves for another vacation. I was brought up learning that a vacation was for doing the hard work. Our President disappears or leaves the White House so he doesn’t have to do anything, and let’s others do his job. Run, Mr President, but don’t get cold. Stay in Washington and work for a change.
Joe deserves a permanent vacation by electing Republican Presidents.
This fake President is a no good pathological SOB!!! He definitely is the worst President in U.S. history, PERIOD, END OF STORY
We all know the election was RIGGED.
He went to check on how much additional CASH has been deposited into his “OFF SHORE ACCOUNTS”, BY ALL HIS CRIMINAL BUDDIES.
LOL…he created the problem at the border. He isn’t going to change anything. As for the snow, he can’t drive a plow
Biden is the worst president (after Obama) we have ever had, and both of them are and were illegals holding the office of the president. He is a total disgrace to America. He is a traitor and a tyrant.
Where is a REAL president when you need one!!!
It’d save money just to wheel him into the sun room, hand him an ice cream cone, & tell him he’s in the Caribbean. I guess DOCTOR Jill wanted a taxpayer-paid vacay; DementiaJoe has no idea where he is.
