January 1, Bette Midler Reveals Celebrity Who’s Unexpected Move Sunk Beloved Sitcom

In a recent episode of David Duchovny’s podcast “Fail Better,” Bette Midler discussed the downfall of her 2000s sitcom, “Bette.” She blames former child star Lindsay Lohan for the show’s demise, claiming that Lohan’s breach of contract ultimately led to the sitcom’s failure.

Midler revealed, “The fact is that I believe it would have worked if I had had a team that was on my side. If I had been – if I had been in my right mind – or if I had known that part of my duties were to say this absolutely will not do, I would sue, I would have done it.”

According to the actress, Lohan was cast as her daughter in the pilot. But after its completion, she decided she no longer wanted to be part of the project. Midler recalled, “Lindsay Lohan was cast as my daughter in the pilot. Well, after the pilot, Lindsay Lohan decided she didn’t want to do it. Or she had other fish to fry.”

Left with no choice but to adapt, Midler said the situation became chaotic and difficult to manage. “Things happened that were so astonishing, I didn’t know those things could happen,” she stated, referring to Lohan’s sudden withdrawal from the show.

David Duchovny chimed in during the interview, saying, “You’re not supposed to be allowed to leave a show,” and agreeing with Midler that this is the reason contracts exist. It’s important to note that Lohan was just a child during the time of filming.

Maybe Midler being such a rabid hag is what sank it. If you keep your big yap and nose out of politics, you might have had a sitcom. No one gives a damn what you think.Just sing if you still can.

    Boo-frickety-hoo hollywood shrill!
Notorious sycophant Middler has been whistling past the actor’s graveyard for years now. An unremarkable actor, she’s gotta blame somebody for her failures. You can’t just quit without a reason, after all, Lohan was under contract, but you gotta ask yourself why she bailed. Middler’s stomach-churning politics & her unsavoury association as a “HarveyWood” toady easily sunk her failures.

The show was titled Bette…sad that the main character Bette Midler blamed a child for the downfall of her show!! Just like Hollywood, it’s always someone else’s fault. I really expected her to blam President Trump!!
