January 1, Parents Shut Down Drag Event in Defiance of LGBTQ Indoctrination
In a firm stand against potential LGBTQ indoctrination, determined parents halted a children’s drag event set to take place at California’s San Fernando Library.
Slated to feature “Pickle the Drag Queen,” the event was met with staunch opposition from community groups “Leave Our Kids Alone” and “Parents’ Voices of the Glendale Unified School District,” which led to its cancellation.
As Pickle arrived, parents banded together, chanting with fervor, “Leave our kids alone!”
Not holding back, one assertive protester called out, “Bye, bye! No pervert pedophiles are going to train our kids to be perverts like you.”

Footage from the scene captures the moment Pickle, flanked by law enforcement, tried to make his way into the library.
However, the entrance was barricaded by the group of parents, leading to a visibly shaken Pickle making a call before the video ends.
Heralding their victory, a protester jubilantly shared on Instagram, “What a powerful and successful day for parents in San Fernando Valley!! Pickles the Drag Queen Story hour was canceled.”
However, the cancellation wasn’t met with universal praise.
Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsay Horvath, who had a hand in organizing the library event, wasted no time in vilifying the protesters. Labeling them as “hateful,” she contended that their actions spurred “incitement to violence” against the LGBTQ populace.
“Today, my office was set to host a Drag Storytime at the San Fernando Library as part of LGBTQ+ History Month. What was meant to be a celebration of love and inclusion turned into the opposite,” she lamented on social media.
Elaborating on the parents’ actions, she stated, “Protestors claimed they want to keep children safe while they pounded on doors, shouted obscenities & slurs toward my staff and library staff, and used strollers to blockade moving vehicles. The hypocrisy is astounding.”
Horvath further went on to emphasize, “Libraries will not be breeding grounds for indoctrination of hate and contempt toward our fellow neighbor.”
The protestors’ message and actions today will not win in our continued fight for LGBTQ+ rights and equality.

This incident isn’t isolated. Drag Story Hour events have been a focal point of controversy across the nation, drawing scrutiny due to instances of inappropriate behaviors targeting young attendees.
Nevertheless, Pickle expressed gratitude for prior engagements, thanking parents and children for their presence at other drag story hour events, and was even invited to read at the First Congregational Church of Long Beach, where he relished spreading “the good word” to the congregation.

That lindseyho-bat needs to understand one thing, very clearly. You don’t have the right to shove your drag crap onto parents kids. You don’t have authority over thoses parents. The parents need to form a group to boycott all of the libraries that allow it. And picket outside those libraries to.exercise your first admendment rights.

I find it hard to comprehend anyone believing it is imperative to have drag queen story hours for elementary school kids. They can’t go to adult venues to see them and that age group is not into having sex unless being groomed by an adult.

Puppet shows are frequently shown in childrens classes, however, they are very detailed puppets and no clothing!

You can build your inclusive community wherever you privately wish but a public library is not your private domain and parents do not have to allow your private show to be shown at any public space. Do whatever you want in your own private space, but not in any public forum.

Bravo to these parents. Small children should not be exposed at an early age to ANY type of sexuality, let alone sexuality that a majority of Americans view as inappropriate. Save your stuff for the privacy of your own home, we do not want taxpayer money used for this kind of thing.
